Im not sure what just happened....my therapist hung up on me when said I would rather have our session over the phone than over video chat. She was clearly annoyed with me before hanging up. To make the appointment I had to deal exclusively with automated texts and online forms. Am I wrong or is this the wrong way to handle intake for potentially mentally distressed people?
I called this practice to try and see if they were now accepting teens since it seemed like they had more providers... they said yes! They told me to fill out online forms. I spends hours uploading all information, insurance, ID's, referrals.. everything. Once that was completed I called to make an appointment, guess what? That was a lie! Still not accepting underage patients. So frustrating, so much wasted time.
Do not waste your time. I called their offices on a Monday and was told they were accepting new patients and to complete intake forms online prior to scheduling an appointment. I did just that. Uploaded my insurance, copy of ID, all my personal information, etc. I received an email today that my documentation has been approved and to call to schedule and appointment. I called right away and was told they were not accepting new patients or appointments. A complete and utter waste of my time especially since the original receptionist told me my son could be seen in as little as 3 weeks. No one wanted to take accountability or apologize. Please go see another provider that has reliable staff. I'll also be reaching out to Autism Speaks and request they no longer refer this provider since they don't make appointments. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Besides feeling anxious and awkward, I had a good and painless experience. I have grown accustomed to being rushed during other appts that I even wanted to rush just because I'm use to that. Matthew Glidden, PsyD was patient and had a calm and chill demeanor. Normally I get disoriented over a 30 min Pschyc appt, the assessment with him was a 6-7 hour long and I didn't come out of his office feeling crappier. I'm grateful and feel lucky that he took the time he did and that I wasn't misunderstood. I finally get some closure, some peace and validation. Best gift ever. :)
Horrible customer service. If you have the option to go anywhere else exercise it Called me to make an appointment for adult adhd testing. I call back the following day to make the appointment. Get told the person who called was away from their desk and would call me back. I did not receive a call back. 2 days later I call again to try and make the appointment. Am put on hold for 20 minutes only to have the customer service rep come back on and tell me the appointment they called me about was already taken. I asked when there next available appointment was and got told they didn't have any available at all even though I have a referral for the testing from a doctor in their own practice (what the heck are they talking about???). Feels like I was lied too by the customer service rep. Seems like a very shady practice. This is not how you run a doctors office. Beware!!! Edit: just called me back to inform me the reason I can't make an appointment is because the dr who I had the hr intake with is no longer at the practice and I will have to redo the intake with a new dr. When I questioned them on the fairness of this (my referral for testing from the original dr was good for 90 days, it's been 2 weeks) they refused to answer and would only reply with the exact same statement over and over again "would you like to book the new intake or have us send it back to your insurance to find another provider." You can't make this ish up. There is literally zero reason the referral I received for testing two weeks ago is somehow how now invalid because the dr left their practice? All I wanted was an acknowledgment that they were screwing me over. This is infuriating. Seems like they're just trying to CHARGE MY INSURANCE (medical so really the taxpayers) for another UNNECESSARY AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE diagnostic intake appointment. I will be reporting to the Medical Board of CA
So someone posted here on 3/7/23 that some executive assistant told them that this facility is no longer seeing minors. I just called today, 3/8/23, because my son has been on a waitlist for 5 months and the usual rude and uncaring and unwilling to help executive assistant told me that they have not been able to schedule anyone on the waitlist because a doctor quit an they are still in the hiring process. This place is disgraceful and should never be charged with the treatment of anyone especially kids. I have called my doctor and told them to never refer this facility to anyone.
Was referred there by Kaiser. Woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, refused to give me her name. I asked if I could get a reasonable adjustment to my appointment start time in due to my disability. Was told "well people in wheelchairs get here at that time just fine so you can figure it out" Which like is such an abelist and horrific thing to say. How is anyone potentially safe in there care?
Winnie is a wonderful therapist to my daughter and very patient with us. The staff are all friendly. My lil girl looks forward to seeing her. Nice people. I strongly recommend Winnie.
I agree that the front staff is not the friendliest, and the hold time is outrageous. However, the Doctor's, from my experience, are excellent. I feel heard and understood by them.
Over the last several years, I have referred several clients to Gunn Psychological for Independent Educational Evaluations, and we have always had very good results. Their psychologists are experienced, professional, compassionate and thorough and the reports they provide to the students' IEP teams are clear, practical, and evidence-based. Their recommendations have changed the trajectory of my clients' educational lives, and I have no qualms at all about referring clients to this solid and reliable practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
