Howard S. Kaufman's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Kaufaman is very professional, knowledgeable and talented in his profession. He spends enough time explaining the case and answering all questions. His staff are very friendly and efficient especially Kristine his assistant. He is very highly recommended.

I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman. He and his are very professional & caring. He spends time listening and explaining, which seems to be a thing of the past for most doctors these days.

I appreciate Dr. Kaufman's knowledge and ability to communicate the condition that I had. He took the time to communicate with me whenever I had a question or concern. He diagnosed my condition professionally and helped me through my issue. His office staff emailed me promptly as well. This was a good experience in a not-so-good situation. I do not hesitate to refer Dr. Kaufman to any of my friends or relatives! Thank you. for all your help and guidance.

I have to say this is not reflective of Dr. Kaufman, but instead of the nursing and scheduling staff. They were to inform me of a surgery, had six weeks to do so, and informed me less than one week before the scheduled surgery. There was lab work, a preop visit, and other things all that had to be done in a matter or two or three days when they had six weeks to take care of and notify me of what needed to be done. In addition, they didn't even know the details of the surgery less than one week before and still wanted me to confirm that I wanted to proceed with the surgery. How can I agree to something I am not fully informed of? Then I was blamed for their lackings. Nurse Christine is absolutely the rudest person I've encountered in a healthcare. I have no idea how or why she is a nurse when she has no ability to talk to patients. I canOnly imagine her bedside manner, and am horrified. She lacks professionalism of any kind and needs to check her awfulAnd atrocious attitude. If you are unable to work with patients, get into another field. She is aggressive and rude at best and it is unfortunate for Dr. Kaufman as these staff represent him and impact patients.

Difficult to get an appointment to see the doctor. Dr. Kaufman is not friendly to patients. Waiting time is very long, and he only spends a little time with you. Office staff never returned my calls. Refill prescription is difficult. My recommendation to you is to find someone else. I don't like to see you suffer from this doctor and office on top of your physical pain.

This review is not directly about the Dr's practices because the staff have failed to properly set me up an appointment multiple times for my surgery! They don't return back calls. I have to call back multiple times to get the right person to speak to and set up an appointment date. To verify billing, again they don't return back calls so it's a scheduling nightmare. Finally, I set an appointment date for surgery. I get a call from them saying they forgot to do blood work before surgery so they need to cancel and request that I do bloodwork first before my surgery. 3 weeks have passed and they have no gave me my the bloodwork I need to do even though I called back asking them last week. I really tried hard to make this work because I my primary care doctor referred me to him but having things stay on track here has been a disaster. My first (and last) visit was in early November and we are now in approaching February in 2 days. I will be moving on to another doctor. Thanks for the time wasted.

Dr Kaufman is a wonderful Dr. He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable in pelvic floor issues. Office staff is also excellent. 5 stars all the way!

Doct. Kaufman is a genius, he was my surgeon in a very difficult bowel resection surgery and I was so scared because other surgeons wanted to do open surgery, leave me with scars, a bag and they gave me nightmares about the outcome. when I saw Doct. Kaufman for the first time I knew right away I could trust him 100%. He is so professional, caring and prepared. When I woke up from my surgery I did not even have the marks of the laparoscopic surgery because he was able to do everything from a little incision on my bikini line. A few month later I can't even see a scar and I am cancer free! I really love this doctor and his staff.

My experience with Dr. Kaufman was unsatisfactory. It was difficult to get in to see him, and once I did, he misdiagnosed the cause of my problem (fecal incontinence) . .. twice! This wasted valuable time in getting proper treatme. Finally, I decided to go to another specialist in a nearby city, who was quick to provide tests as well as remedies. Eventually, she performed a very successful operation on my prolapsed rectum, since which time my condition has greatly improved my condition

I was treated like a number not a patient by this doctor and his uncaring staff. I had an infection after his surgery due to lack of drains not being placed in the surgery site. I had an emergency surgery because of this and went through weeks of pain so bad that I thought I wouldn't live. I have a list of complaints that could make a short story. I wish I had sought treatment elsewhere!
