Dr. Carey is a very caring doctor that always treated me as if I was his only patient. He has always taken the time to answer all my questions, respond to my emails, and I have never felt rushed during an appointment. His staff is amazing as well, always returning my phone calls and answering any questions they could.

By far one of the best doctors i've had. Genuinely cares about his patients.

I couldn't recommend Dr. Carey more highly! My injury was highly complicated and unusual. Dr. Carey was the only doctor who accurately assessed the direness of the situation and was confident he could fix it. Without him, I am convinced I would have lost my leg.On top of that, his bedside manner and that of his entire team is exceptional. No surgeon's ego. I immediately felt comfortable and confident in his care. He even went so far to call me at home to follow up on an appointment he had to cut short due to an emergency surgery. You won't find a better plastic surgeon.

Dr. Carey, was very honest and recommended realist options. I went to him for a 2nd option, after having a very complicated abdominal surgery more than a year ago, that still needs follow up. I appreciated his honesty and that he was trying the conservative approach first vs, trying to recommend surgery right away. I truly appreciated his approach.

He’s wonderful and an amazing Provider to have on your team during a surgery! He’s my reconstruction/plastic surgeon at USC , and I am so grateful for him and his wonderful team. Dr. Carey has made my journey so much more easier and he so truly cares! I didn’t make an appt and two weeks later when I met with him, he said “ I wondered what happened to you and why you didn’t show!” . It shows he really does know his patients and cares ! I love it! I'm not sure where to start, I beleive Dr Carey is an amazing surgeon! Simply put, I believe I still have my leg today because of Dr Carey and his tireless efforts to help me save my leg. I believe I have been in about 10 different surgeries with Dr Carey and he always put me at ease, knowing the best outcome will be had. Thany you!!

Dr. Joseph Carey is an incredible surgeon! He did a wonderful job of reconstructing my breast after I had a mastectomy. He was very professional, sharing his knowledge and keeping me informed throughout my procedure and follow up visits. He was extremely kind and sensitive!One year later, when my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer, I called Dr. Carey and he immediately agreed to handle her case, a much more difficult and complicated one. Thanks to Dr. Carey’s expertise and skills, she also had a very successful reconstructive surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Carey!

Dr. Carey handled the reconstruction following my prophylactic mastectomy due to genetic breast cancer risk. He took the time to understand what was important to me in the reconstruction, and was very honest with me as to what I should expect. I am now 6 months post-reconstruction and very pleased with how they turned out, particularly after seeing photos of others. He did a beautiful job.

Dr. Carey is an amazing surgeon. He did an amazing surgery on me that allowed me to be able to start walking again faster. Dr. Carey is also an open person and does his best to be able to help.
