In short: I feel that I've moved backwards in my mental health journey. A lot of time wasted. She was insensitive, incompetent, and tried to force medication on me. In long: This is not a resentful or vengeful review, but more of a warning. Just like you, I saw the bad reviews too, but I still tried her out. I stuck with her for about 4 months hoping that we would "warm up to each other" (I was new to therapy and didn't know that it was necessary to vet multiple therapists. I just chose one at random that accepted my insurance.) She pretty much made me talk for the entire session without offering any help or commentary and slapped a diagnoses on me. In the end, she gave me an ultimatum: agree to medicate or be dismissed as a client. That was our last session. I never once felt that she empathized or cared about me the entirety of my time with her.

Excellent straight forward therapist. She took me from being a basket case back to being a functional happy human being again... She has so much knowledge on so many topics. A+++ I would definitely recommend Dr. Delker to anyone seeking help.

While she doesn't often talk over you, like a lot of unprofessional psychologists do, she certainly isn't afraid to tell it like it is. She has pointed out a lot of bad behaviors and unhealthy coping mechanisms that I don't like to recognize in myself. She could be a little more gentle about it though, as sometime I feel like I kind of resent her for it... Even though obviously she's just trying to help. Overall she's good enough to not risk trying someone new and starting from scratch again.
