2 "specialists" here completely missed a retinal tear. I had surgery at Jules Stein soon after with a detachment. Don't risk losing an eye, not recommended.

I just had surgery with Doctor Ip last week. I have never had a doctor as caring as he was. He is extremely knowledgeable, and doesn't worry about how much time he spends with you. He explains everything to you in regards to your issues. If you don't understand, he will explain it to you in a different way. I am so happy we found Doctor Ip. He did an amazing job on my eye.

Lengthy waiting when this doctor seemed to be chatting with some other people. Cursory exam without performing the necessary diagnostic procedure of manual fundus exam.

Have been seeing Dr. Ip for over 15 years, since I was diagnosed with diabetic retinopothy. He got me into a clinical trial that probably saved my eyesight. His care and attention (including multiple laser treatments) was excellent, to the point that at 68, I need only glasses for reading. I just found he is leaving UW and moving to California and am sorry to see him leave, but wish him the best in the future.
