List of New Day Psychotherapy Group - Pasadena's Reviews
Ibragi is the person to talk to you for any kind of therapeutic help she is so easy to speak with she gets things done she is professional she is friendly and I recommend to anybody in the area that is looking for therapeutic help
Never get a call back. Then finally reach someone via a email complaint. Was supposedly put on a waitlist only to find out that person who put me on the list no longer works there "shocker." So I spoke to someone else 2 weeks ago who was reaching out to a therapist. Still waiting with no call back. I sent a email last week and left a VM yesterday. Horrible business practice to not get back to potential clients.
Therapist was fine; but went on leave. Supposedly, there was a replacement but no one has reached out to us. I have left a half a dozen phone calls or emails and not once has anyone from the NewDay group responded back. To not call/email back and provide interim service is such poor and unprofessional business practice. My review of this business is "Not good."
The person they set me up with was great. She really helped and guided me in the right direction. I have nothing bad to say about my therapist. Billing on the other hand is god awful! They forgot to take my payments for almost 3 months and then came back at me saying I owe them 1500 bucks! I told them I don't have that kinda of money right now and it's not my fault you forgot. I made them break up my payments. Guess what, they forgot to charge me for one of those months. You can't eff with people like that!! I luckily got a new job and can afford pay it all off quickly but the fact that their billing department is so bad that they try to dump a big ass bill on you. No thanks. I shouldn't have to Remind them that they need to bill me when I already set up my Payment to be what I thought was automatically. Watch your billing because they might forget and throw a big bill at you.
So, please note. This has nothing to do with my relationship with my therapist. My therapist is great. We still have a good thing going on, but this is more on the system that I have to deal with along with what my therapist needs to deal with. For a group that has to deal with people with depression, chronic anxiety, and ADHD, like myself, they seem to be adding more barriers and items that could cause more anxiety. Their policy prior to the pandemic is to call at least 24 hours to cancel an appointment. I understand they need to make money and that's fair. They changed it now to 48 WORKING hours to cancel an event. So, that means, if your appointment is on Tuesday... you would have to cancel by Friday before . Imagine having existing anxiety and then thinking omg, I can't have my appointment Tuesday at 2pm, oh... it's Friday right now. Let me call and leave a message to reschedule. Then the Tuesday, you find out that it's supposed to be two BUSINESS days (even though they do counseling on Saturdays) M-F. They let me go this time because I questioned it, but that's outrageous that you actually make the effort to reschedule only to be told rules have changed. It's also pretty messed up that you have to be alright with the therapist cancelling or rescheduling when they want to, which I'm okay with because shit happens. If I'm having a bad week, my therapist will make sure to reschedule, but I've been finding ways to cope and such. Also, the system is pretty awful. I told my therapist I'd be 10 min late and it took me forever to log onto the system only to be told I MISSED THE APPOINTMENT and keep in mind, that was a BAD week. I had a really fucked up depressive episode too that I needed my therapist cuz A LOT OF SHIT happened that I needed to be 10 minutes late for work reasons. Again, there is nothing wrong with my therapist. She's great. When we do talk, she's been great especially with everything going on with the Asian hate crimes and my stress and anxiety levels, and change in meds, but this whole rule changes within the system is like I get it. The pandemic makes it hard for all of us. I know they need to make money. But, at what cost to change all these rules that make anxiety and depressive episodes possibly pop up? I even asked my therapist when will things be in person again because then I don't need to deal with that damn system they have up. Also, in person would mean they'd change the 48 hr back to 24 cuz in person is easier to schedule and such. How can I take control of my mental health when I can't control how and when to contact my therapist?
They will never call you back or give any semblance of a response. If you are in need of help, go elsewhere.
Parents beware! I would give 0/stars if I could. I took my daughter to Misha Jamell and she made things worse! My daughter was having depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and was also diagnosed with Autism. My daughter told me that Misha immediately told her that she needed to get surgery and started giving her numbers of surgery centers to get top and bottom surgery, and halfway home, she encouraged her to run away from home. This woman also, told my daughter that she was bisexual. I did not bring my daughter to New Day to talk about Micha's sexual preferences. Instead of focusing on the core issues, she was filling her head with nonsense. She wanted to send my daughter to the slaughterhouse instead of helping her. She talked about her other patients with my daughter. Misha was pushing her LGBTQ agenda; she is ruining these kids. When these kids end up homeless on the street these so-called social workers and LCSW's will be nowhere to be found. They have no clue about evidence base! Misha should know that girls with autism fixate on certain things one being transgenderism! Instead on working on her Autism she was pushing for my daughter to become a boy. These therapists are jumping on the Trans money Train! Shame on all these people! Parents of minors please DO NOT take your kids here. These therapists do NOT take the time to see what the underline core are issues. If a patient with bipolar starts saying that he sees monkeys on their head, you are supposed to correct them NOT affirm them. So, if a kid tells you that he or she wants to be a superhero, what are you going to tell them? That they can be a superhero? I can answer that. The answer is NO you are not a superhero. Same apply for a 15-year-old that thinks she is a boy or a boy that thinks he is a girl! The child brain is not fully developed till the age of 25-27, so why on earth would you push this on such young kids?? You people push this agenda because it makes you money. DE-TRANSITIONERS are going up and realizing that they made a mistake and then are now suing their parents, doctors, schools, school psychologists, and doctors. Look up the latest DE-Trans that sued the doctors for not have her best interest at heart in the UK. I am happy to report that I found a wonderful therapist that focused on my daughter's true issues and she no longer feels like she is a boy. She is back to dressing like a girl, we have our daughter back. My husband spoke with the CEO and she was useless! She does not give a dam as long as she is making money from these innocent kids. Shame on you!!
Godawful. Poorly administered. Call them and always get voice mail. They won't call you back for days. They'll put you through three redundant and repetitive "intake procedures" over several days before you can talk to anyone. Their therapist seemed nice but they were completely untrained in the stated specialty. This practice seems to thrive on contracted business from big HMOs, but they don't offer results.
I had an excellent experience working with Rachael Polokoff who helped me work through some past trauma that was affecting my daily life and relationships. Highly recommended.
I wanted to take a moment and really thank Alexandra Ochoa for being my therapist. Being able to have online sessions with Alexandra has been life-changing, to say the least. She made me feel comfortable talking about my issues and past traumas. Never once did I feel judged or embarrassed telling her anything. She has helped me self-reflect and better understand my emotions, issues, and relationships around me. I have the tools to cope with my emotions and learned better ways to express my emotions. During my session, we have set goals for myself to achieve and she has always been encouraging me every step of the way. Happy to say I have achieved my goals set with her. I would recommend Alexandra to anyone who needs support and someone to talk to. For me, seeking help was never an easy journey but having Alexandra as my therapist changed my life dramatically, in all good ways possible. Lastly, I wanted to say is Alexandra is compassionate, understanding, professional, and will guide you throughout your journey.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
