Due to limited space - right to the point. The patient is my son with a broken finger. Wait time = 45 min. The doctor was rude and wearing street clothes. My son had been seen by urgent care and they had done a temp splint on his finger. The doctor did not change the splint - just readjsuted it. We were concerned about the type of fracture and whether he will heal 100% ok and she could not answer with confidence whether he would be OK. She only said come back in one week. Not much explanations.

Absolutely horrible in every way possible. My 8-year-old son was/is emotionally traumatized by the cruel words she used to describe healing surgical scars on him (scars that were due to debilitating bone tumors that had been surgically removed just 6 months prior). She just walked in the exam room, pointed at his legs and arm like an ignorant bully, and said, 'he looks awful from every angle.' She had no knowledge of his medical history, didn't want to know, and disturbingly manhandled his body.

I can not tell you my experience with Dr. Poon. Do you want to know why?. I never met her. My daughter was seen by the PA. I am paying a Dr. Whom I did not see. Will never go back

I am quite disappointed with both Dr poon and her staff. They scheduled an appt for the wrong day and upon realizing their error would not see me on that day bec it was too late in their schedule to accommodate me. They didn't acknowledge or apologize for their mistake. I asked to speak with Dr. Poon for a consult and was told my message would be relayed and a response would be called back to me. They never returned my call. Needless to say I will not be bringing my child to their office.

Dr. Poon was very rude the first time we met her in LIJ. She came in with a very bad attitude and judgmental about child abuse because our 8 month old had a broken femur which turned out to be from an excesaucer. I understand she has a job to do but rudeness should never be an option in her field.
