Its been five weeks since my surgery for stage 1 c ovarian cancer. First my California Coverage Insurance is not great. My surgeon is great but I have to go to another Oncologist for chemo treatment at this place. I decided on chemo. A week ago I went to the Institute. They said they will call me when my authorization came in. Well called yesterday but the woman at the doctors office said its authorized and she would have billing call me about my co/payment. They never called me back. Called corporate billing today and was on hold then they hung up. I called back and was on hold for a half hour. But as I was on hold they called and told me what my co/payment would be. I said fine and the lady was very nice and said that she would let scheduling know and they would call me in a few minutes. 3pm and they never called back. I called the doctors office and was put on hold. It then went to voicemail. I called again but it went straight to voicemail. So I called corporate again and lady was very nice and apologized. She said she would put another request in and I should get a call in a few minutes. Its almost 4pm. No call back yet. They make it so hard to contact anyone and you have to depend on someone else getting in contact with someone else then someone else calling back. Its ridiculous. I just want to start my chemo treatments ASAP. I am reading these other reviews and its down right scary. I am already dealing with the stress of having cancer, bills and now this. its like there is no Hope.
Great Staff and DR.s I couldnt be happier with the care I have received
Staff were excellent warm welcoming. Doctor answered all my questions and had me at ease knowing that I’m in good hands.

This place killed my father last Summer. We were assigned Dr. Mazumder through insurance and my father had a really aggressive form of Stage 2 cancer. This was my first time helping a parent through this and never had experience with our medical system. Given what I'd learn over the course of two months, the "treatment" or lack of it from Dr. Mazumder killed my father. He kept delaying treatment for two months. He ordered all types of useless tests like multiple biopsys, CT scans and more tests. I got so fed up with the delays I ended up taking my father to a meeting consultation with doctors at City of Hope in Duarte. Their care was excellent but by then it'd been 6 weeks since my father was diagnosed with Cancer. (He passed away 12 days after). My dad didn't get treatment until two days before he passed away. Stay away from this place; their ineptitude will kill your relative. This place is a complete dumpster fire. This guy should stop practicing; he's killing hundreds of people a year. Dr. Mazumder didn't even look at any CT scans that we had taken in our second consult. This idiot should've started treatment on my father immediately after the first consult. My dad wasn't a candidate for surgery from the first round of CT scans. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Great service and I enjoy how they treated my dad so much patience and respect. So thank you.

God, if I could give this place no stars I would. This place nearly killed a family member of mine from multiple instances of negligence, and the overall attitude of care was just unfathomable. I understand that delivering news of cancer to a patient is never easy, and we weren't expecting tremendous bedside manner, but Dr. Quintero was literally the worst in terms of making us feel like he was on our team to help us through. He was audibly irritated by the fact that we had to go to multiple sites to get all the necessary tests (instead of being understanding that it was due to the insurance's limitations that we had to drive allll around LA to get the necessary tests). He verbatim told my family member she would never make it with her attitude, which was that she was obviously very scared. In addition to his lack of bedside manner, he delayed tests required and misread some of her results. Thank god we ended up going to city of hope. Come here if you'd like a death sentence. These people have no idea what they're doing.
