Valerie Myers's Online Review Report Card

I have been with Dr. Myers for nearly 20 years. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable, forthright and caring. My questions are always answered to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a GYN, especially women who are post menopausal and need better answers from a doctor other than “you’re just getting old”.

Dr Isiaka is very nonchalant. She met with me virtually and was supposed to schedule a follow-up visit but three months went by before I heard back from her office. At that point I'd found another doctor who took my concerns much more seriously, scheduled me for an MRI, identified a previously undiagnosed issue, has an excellent bedside manner, and scheduled my myomectomy. Then I heard from Dr. Isiaka, by now three months later, with a bill of $165 for our virtual appointment that lasted all of 15 minutes.

Several friends strongly recommended Dr Meyers when I was looking for a doctor for my (then adolescent) daughter. I was so impressed that I started going to her myself. She is smart and thorough, listens well and communicates clearly.

My daughter is a size two. She had been weighed with her shoes on at Dr Meyer’s office so it looked like she had gained 8 lbs in a year, really about 6. The doctor made her entire check up a lecture about weight gain and told her she had to weigh herself every week. I am absolutely furious! This woman is a danger to young women and should read up on the prevalence of eating disorders. What a horrible way to treat a patient. I am shocked.

Bright, compassionate and caring, Dr. Valerie Myers also has a great personality and a brilliant sense of humor. I feel very fortunate to have found her through the enthusiastic recommendation of a good friend. And now I'll add my enthusiastic recommendation to anyone searching for a talented and respected gynecologist. A bonus is that her staff is friendly, efficient, and professional.

Dr. Myers is an extremely knowledgeable physician who has been a major force in my transitioning through my menopausal period with ease and comfort. She has a warm inviting nature that makes you feel that any confidences or worries that you have can be addressed and resolved.

Dr. Myers is friendly, personable, and down-to-earth, and yet always very professional and effective in her approach to her patients. She takes the time to get to know the patient, not just a medical case but as a whole person. She is highly skilled, not just in terms of the application of her medical knowledge and expertise, but also in listening, developing an accurate understanding of patient concerns, and communicating her genuine interest. This combination instills confidence and greatly enhances her medical effectiveness, I believe. I know her time is valuable, yet unlike many other busy professionals, Dr. Myers never conveys a sense of being rushed or harried. I have always felt free to bring up any concerns I may have, and I have appreciated being given the time for a thorough discussion of each issue. In short, she's superb!

Dr. Myers has a very calm and caring demeanor, and immediately made me feel comfortable and well cared for at my first appointment with her. This has been my experience at all of our subsequent appointments. She is knowledgeable and thoughtful, explaining the medical problem thoroughly, presenting treatment options and the pros/cons of each. She does not immediately leap to the most drastic treatment. I trust her expertise and judgement. The staff in the office has been wonderful, and help to create a sense of being cared for.
