I'm NorCal so wasn't sure of the link to pick. I do video visits and LOVE this option but, let's talk. My therapist has been above and beyond. She was always saying if you need me I'm here. I thought ok sure but, I never called. I had the most traumatic event happen and I reached out. She actually was there for me. I even now typing this find this stunning that someone actually is advocating for me. I have a voice, I'm not alone. You have a set of tools to use and someone, is showing you how to use them in the right ways. This is the most empowering feeling ever. I felt this relief of all this pain, not from just that one thing but, like the"ghosts" from the past have been given notice that I'm not longer a doormat. Words can not describe my relief. I feel as tho the dark is parting and the sun is beginning to fight it's way into my life. For the first time in more years than I can think of I feel HOPE something I lost long ago. I did therapy in every form one on one, in person, group.... NONE ever helped. I really did enter this program waiting for it to fail to just justify my deepest darkest thoughts. I have found that I can speak, I do have a voice and I'm NOT alone. I can manage this because someone can give me useful insight. Trust me I have to work at this and use the tools I'm given. There is no miracle cure for mental health but, there is HOPE and you can climb out of that dark place if you really want to. I just feel like I've got a long way to go but Breeane has given me tools that work. I'm alive because I tried and it helped.
