Yafa Minazad's Online Review Report Card

Good She takes the time to ask questions and answer mine. It isn't always easy to get an appointment quickly but since this is not an emergency doctor, it is okay. There is an PA a ms. G. that i am not comfortable with.

Very slow at responding to medication refill requests or prescribing the correct number of refills for mail order. The number of refills and the manufacturer of preference are ignored. I have called and emailed a on numerous occasions.

Worst front office staff of any doctor to which I have gone.

She treated my family very poor. My father is in the hospital and right in front of him she used the analogy that he had drowned (he did not) and is dead and has no hope. Another doctor told us the exact opposite. My father has been in the hospital one day and they said there's no way of knowing what's to come and we should wait a few days for him to heal to know more. She was highly arrogant as doctors should NOT be. She was not sensitive as doctors should be. When my mother asked if she could repeate what she said because she didn't quite hear she responded "no, I already said it once and have other things to do". The most rude person I have ever come into contact with. She should be working in the basement of a mortuary so she can be as awful as she wants to patients and not get a response. The kind of work she is doing should not be with living human beings but with dead ones as cold as she is. This garbage human being should have her doctors license taken away. Beware of this doctor and ask for a new one if you come into contact with her.

Dr Minazad is easy to talk to and I feel comfortable expressing my feelings and emotions to her, which is #1 for the patient doctor relationship. She’s helped me a lot by changing medications and has helped me find what works. The trade off... her unorganized office.... I try calling at 920am on a Monday to confirm my appointment and I get the recording which says our business hours are m-f 9am-whatever. It can be frustrating but for me it’s worth it the minute inconvenience. Her staff is very nice.

Not a good experience. The business did not respond to multiple prescription refill requests over the course of a week, and I was without medication for part of a day. Dr. Minizad cancelled frequently, started appointments late and then was very rushed when we met. On one occasion, I had been encouraged by my referring neurologist to ask her a specific question, in response she said "I don't have time for easy questions." That was the last straw.

Worse Dr. I have EVER been too. EVER!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure why this says "Emeryville, CA" with an 818 area code, but I am a patient in Pasadena, CA. When I had a stroke 4 years ago, Dr. Minazad was the neurologist that was assigned to me. She was fabulous then, and was fabulous for about a year afterwards. Now, trying to get an appt takes forever, no one answers the phone, voicemail full. I was told that I was now considered a new patient and just wasted 2 hours of my time waiting to see a NP. I finally demanded my co-pay back and left.

Dr. Minazad kept us waiting for 1.5 hours with no apology. She had clearly not read my husband's chart. She had ordered a sleep study several months earlier and had not read the results or notified us that he needed a CPAC machine. She is rude, arrogant, and becomes angry and dismissive if you ask any questions. She does not follow through on things she says she's going to do. She did not look at my husband once during our entire meeting with her. It's hard to find a good neurologist but STAY AWAY from Yafa Minazad.
