most knowledgeable doctor i have ever met . He is also the kindest most welcoming person . He will treat you so kind and respectful , very genuine something i don't find much in Doctors these days . He performed the most pain free vasectomy on me and is also a great general physician . If you don't have any urgent medical need he is worth the wait . Great guy !!

I have been a patient of "Dr. B" since 2006. What do I love about my family doctor? Let me count the ways. First of all, he listens, and he has helped me tremendously throughout the years. He hires great staff members with little turn over which to me speaks volumes. Dr. B's energy and good mood has always been infectious. I leave his office with a smile on my face. He knows his stuff, and in the old days, if he wasn't certain about something, he'd grab one of his books and look it up. Well, I certainly haven't seen him do this in over a decade. My point is that I find Dr B to be very authentic, honest, and filled with integrity. Most importantly, I TRUST him. So much, that despite my moving to Northern California, I will not change my doctor. I prefer to return to Paso to see Dr. B. Who else is going to give me excellent care and make me laugh like he does? Hummm....

This Dr is terrible. He would not spend more than 5 minutes with me. He couldn't diagnose my ailment. Then, when I asked for copies of my medical records, he told me he would need to charge me 30.00. I refused, telling him I have a right to my records and should not be charged for information that was mine and needed for my new Dr. Then I followed it up with a letter requesting my information. He still refused telling me in a short letter that I needed to pay 30.00. Finally, I called CCPN and we had a three way call with the office and was told the Dr was offended by my written request and that I can not have my records regardless. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DR. He only wants do cosmetic surgery it seems like which he also advertises.

I went in for an initial visit. They shook my hand, welcomed me to the practice. Then 3 days later I received a letter stating I was terminated as a patient.

Thought I had a rose thorn in my finger, turns out I had multiple. Didn't have an appointment, but took me in right away. Dr Bettencourt is awesome!

Office staff is so rude, commented I should be careful in what sort of message I leave. Msg said...I asked if I could get a call back. I did not see any in my list. I called admitted error, and still very rude. Stay away. The staff is toxic. My insurance said they are taking new patients. Lady said they were not. Guess if not born in Paso or friends dont't bother.

Dr. Bettencourt is synonymous with genuinely caring and knowledgeable. The care he has given to our parents has been phenomenal and forthright.
