Altamed Medical Group - Pico Rivera's Online Review Report Card

I have never had any problems here. I absolutely love my doctor Dr. Carlos Perez Rodriguez He is very thorough and always takes his time with you and listens to you. Sometimes I have to wait a bit to see him because he always runs a little behind but thats because he doesnt rush his patients out the door so he is absolutely worth the wait because I know I wont be rushed either. He has a great bedside manner and I hope he stays there as long as I am around because I dont want any other doctor treating me

I called in on a phone appointment with swelling on neck and diarrhea that seemed to be a staph infection. Doctor refused to give me anti biotics. Told me it was my diet and there is nothing he can do. A month prior my assigned physician informed me that altamed would not give medication in the event I had covid. Said there is nothing they can do about it because its a virus. This is why L.A County was hit so hard from covid because physicians did not provide medication and people ended up on ventilators because they were untreated. ALTAMED PLEASE DONT WRITE BACK YOU STANDARD REPLY. SAVE IT AND MAKE CHANGES ON HOW YOU PRACTICE MEDICINE

On August 3 third of 2020 I had my first appointment with AltaMed I knew I had a problem with my right hand. But for 5 months this Slauson ave. Clinic keep me going around on circles going for Xrays from one Dr. to another weeks and weeks of useless therapy by this time it was close to the end of the year and I decided to switch to another Health Insurance. I made an appointment and 7 days later I had surgery. My new Dr. ask why did you wait so long.Because I had AltaMed. Plain and simple they just DONT CARE. The one star is for the front desk people.

My dad recently went to see Doctor Arano he tried to explain to them that his finger it’s getting numb and they gave him medicine for the pain when he told the nurse that’s not what he needed her response was “ here’s the medicine you can buy it or don’t buy it”. They offered by mom the flu short but they didn’t offered the flu shot to him. A complaint will be filed with the medical board and or California health care ombudsman. My dad It’s of age an a minority and this group is always at high risk of being mistreated and or disregarded. B

Where do  I start with these BOZOS I came in on October 9 th to get some pre op tests done for a surgery scheduled on November 6  which I clearly stated to the Dr. and showed him all the  tests  required and date needed it by... so he scheduled me on October 27 th for labs which was weird cause my deadline was October 23rd to get my results in .... I said wouldnt that be to late and he said as long as its in within two weeks it will be ok .... so I was like hes a Dr he knows what to do .... got my results in and they submitted the results late  and I called my surgeon and told them the results were faxed my surgeons office said they never received them so I had to walk in and get the dam papers my self and email them to my surgeons office my surgeon  reviewed them and said they were missing a test .... I called and asked them why didnt they do the test and they had no response except can you come in today and we can take the test and we  will submit it urgent and we will have the results back same day or next day So the next day I call and was told they cant get the results urgent  I will just need to wait...THESE PEOPLE ARE FUCKEN RETARTED YALL CANT FOLLOW DEADLINE INSTRUCTIONS ... YALL FAX MACHINE MUST NOT WORK AND YALL CANT DO BASIC MATH TO CALCULATE DAYS FOR DEADLINES

I see Jill Runas N.P. Unlike many GP’s Jill always makes the time to listen to me discuss her professional advice and tailor medical services to my specific needs and desires. I leave her office feeling I have a voice in my medical care my concerns are being addressed and I am very much a part of my medical care decisions. I am not being toldtalked at expected to follow directions without having a say and dismissed.I recommend Jill Runas to anyone who wants to be an active participant in their medical care.The staff at this location have always been helpful and courteous and it is why I switched to this location from the Slauson location.Changes this year have increased the volume of patients seen at this location and wait times for checking in and to be seen have increased as well.So has the ability to actually speak to someone on the phone at this location. You can no longer reach the office by phone the numbers were all disconnected. Now all calls are routed to a call center. The call center has difficulty reaching staff on site nor do they have ability to make phone calls outside of their intra office computer driven communication. I’m other words they can not call patients back. At least that is what the phone representative told me.It took a week for a phone request through the call center for a call back from the doctor to go through. The doctor never actually phoned me but my request for a Rx refill was honored. I believe the call center to office communication failure was due to the call center’s office sole means of communicating being through computer hosted calls they no longer use actual phones.Needless to say the changes are a disappointment for the long standing patients who were accustomed to reach the office directly and not having to go through a middle man call center that’s inefficient due to infrastructure changes.It’s obvious services have declined at this Altamed location due to corporate’s bid to generate more profit from this location by increasing patient volume increasing staff productivity by cutting back on patients ability to communicate affectively with onsite medical staff and office administration and implementing a flawed intraoffice communication infrastructure.Prior to the changes described above I would have given this location five stars.

Good morning beautiful hope you guys are Clinic

Just walked out had my appointment for my kids at 4 and 420. If I dont go ask about going in they wont call me. I was then told that I would have to wait 40 minutes more bcuz the doctor was still busy. I asked to reschedule and was told that they didnt have a day available until march. Im changing doctors and never coming back here. This never happened when doctor poliboy was here.

I was skeptical going to Altamed Group I was a new patient. I Search the Dr. it was all good I looked up reviews on the group on general and it was 5050. I went to my appointment to my surprise they were well prepared to receive patients I was screen for Covid19 before reaching the front desk. Wait for about ten minutes before seeing the Dr.  people on the front desk very professional and helpful. Thank you                          Good job.
