Really clean and friendly place to go to. I recommend it . Had a very nice experience thru all my pregnancy.

Moved to Pismo Beach 2 years ago and needed to find a new OB GYN.Saw the doctor to get my hormone medication. The doctor gave me a prescription for my medication, but would not ok it with the Pharmacy unless I gave them $35.00. I contacted Medicare and my insurance provider who stated this is to acceptable. A grievance has been filed. Another thing I thought was odd, the doctor wanted to do a Pap smear even though I had a hysterectomy.

Dr. Spalding has preformed all 4 of my C-sections. He is an EXCELLENT surgeon and I wouldn't trust anyone else with such a major abdominal surgery. He has so many years of experience, he really is great at what he does! He also diagnosed and removed my mother's cancer, she was extremely happy with him as well!

A word of caution with this Dr.....think many times before becoming a patient!!! I went in for a NovaSure Procedure, nothing else was authorized by me or my insurance...he performed a partial DNC when I confronted him, he stopped, and I left. He & his staff refuse to give me a copy of my medical records. The CA State Medical Board working on my case currently-still NOT complying. They also refusing to refund my money for a procedure that was not done. I have a case pending elsewhere for this.

I had to have a procedure that would be using a local anesthesia. This would be done in his SLO office, on a Saturday, without an anesthesiologist. I discussed my concerns with Dr. Spalding regarding pain control. I am on permanent disability and a chronic pain management patient. After going round and round he assured me I was overly concerned and for no reason at all!! However, that was NOT the case! During the procedure, the pain was extremely intense…I could not take it! When I asked if he was almost done he said he was on step 2 of 10 of a D&C… I was stunned…. I didn't know what to think….I NEVER AUTHORIZED one!!! Due to the pain he had to stop and was not able to even begin the 90 second-painless procedure I was there for. While checking out, the staff wanted me to schedule a different procedure, I declined. I have requested a refund for the procedure that was not preformed…my requests have gone ignored, unanswered. Since that time I requested a copy of my medical records. I even signed the Medical Release Form. Over the course of a month I continued to get excuses from office staff and the office manager with different reasons why they can't get them to me. I have been promised numerous times that I will be getting a return call from the office manager, even from the office manager herself, with not one of those calls being returned. A month has passed now, no phone call and no medical records.

Dr. Spalding saved my life after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, but also a compassionate human being. I highly recommend him!

I am incredibly grateful for the care Dr. Spaulding has provided. As my gynecologist he was incredibly informative taking the time to answer any questions I may have. Dr. Spaulding was my OBGYN with my second child. I have never recieved such care from a doctor. I experienced health issues while pregnant without hesitation Dr. Spaulding had testing expedited, calling himself to check on the results. Post delivery Dr. Spaulding visited the hospital to ensure baby and I were good health. I really could not give enough praise to this man and his staff.
