Dr.Hsu is an excellent doctor and cares very much about his patients. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr Hsu is Ivy League trained, knows his and is a caring human being... I'm very happy with him and his staff who have gone to extreme to coerce RX and oxygen providers to get their act together.... A sincere a deep thank you because when you're sick and the system work, it feels awful. I now feel I'm not in this alone which wonderful...

Beware of this clown who calls himself "doctor."  i was hospitalized in June and because of his misdiagnosis I spent an extra day in the hospital to the tune of $6,000 plus he fed me heavy duty doses of antibiotics that i didn't need and all because of his misdiagnosis -- can you spell medical malpractice!  i didn't have pneumonia but because he took it upon himself to read my x-ray he claimed i did.  Now he has the audacity to bill me for his medical malpractice?  Don't waste your time with these idiots at Pittsburg Antioch medical group -- you'll get the bottom of the barrel doctors!

We will be taking or mother to see the doctor in a few days, and will be watchful of his bed side manner that CKS expressed in her review.  Dr Hsu was my mother in law's doctor and he is very good at what he does, but he is a bit rough around the edges.

Our experience with Dr. Hsu was horrible from beginning to end. I'm so upset with our experience that it has taken me 5 months to write this review, if it wasn't for me wanting to inform other patients of his care (or lack there of) then I wouldn't even bother to write this review. We were referred to Dr Hsu when my grandmothers chest X-ray came back abnormal. We then had a ct scan done & Dr. Hsu, without seeing the results "assumed" it was some type of copd. We he was wrong to assume, because after further examination of the ct scan he then informed us that he suspects it was some form of cancer. How does one go from suspecting copd to CANCER?! The next step was to do a thoracentesis, which they were unable to do because of the fluid in her lung solidified. I called Dr. Hsu and asked what the next step was and he replied with "a bronchoscopy but that that procedure comes with high risk & I honestly belive your grandmother's days are numbered and I think she is going to die." mind you, my grandmother was beside me while I was sspeaking with Dr. Hsu on speaker phone!  The next horrifying experience I had with Dr. Hsu was when he was reading me the results of my grandmother's biopsy, over the phone. He told me it was stage 4 lung cancer and that there wasn't anything he could do to save her. he then proceeded to scold me for my family & I not choosing to do the biopsy sooner.  The last encounter we had with Dr. Hsu was when my grandmother was hospitalized after her first round of chemo and things took a turn for the worse. My mother and aunt had just been given the grim news of my grandmother's condition and was still processing everything when Dr. Hsu began to talk about end of life and a "do not resuscitate" code. My aunt who was obviously shaken up replied with "Is there another doctor we can speak with?" Dr. Hsu's response?? "You don't need another doctor, you need a priest."  That is our experience with Dr. Hsu. I wrote this strictly to let the public know our experience. I personally never wanted to write this in the first place, if it wasn't for the the fact that i would hate for someone to have to experience this with a loved one, or themselves. Dealing with a terminally ill family member is hard enough to go through, you don't need all the added stress of an inconsiderate Dr. So i'll leave it up to you whatever you walk away with with this review....

I was having panic attacks because I was just diagnosed with possible COPD and was suddenly having a terrible time breathing. My primary care doctor gave me a different pulmonary doctor to see, but an appointment with her was 3 months down the road. So, I searched for a pulmonary doctor who I could quickly see in order to answer just some basic questions about my condition, one being if it was safe to have to wait for "3 months" to be seen and given medication for it. The paperwork I was sent by Dr. Hsu's office clearly stated that they accepted credit cards. I own my home free and clear, own three cars and have a mid 800's credit rating. I seldom bring checks with me unless necessary, so when I read the paperwork again just before leaving the house and saw they accepted cards, I left my checks at home. After 40 minutes of waiting, I was told I would need to PAY FIRST for the first visit of $200. I handed her my credit card and she said they would not accept it at this location. I showed her where the preliminary paperwork they sent, said they did, but that if required, I would run down to the local bank and within 10 minutes, come back with the cash. The girl said she'd ask the doctor. When she came back she said he said "No!" I would not be able to be seen! I was devastated. I'd waited three weeks for this visit as it was! I pleaded with her to please ask again and that I just needed to ask some questions and told her they could hold my cards or wallet and I would be right back with the cash. Again, not only did he say "No!", but that "Next time, come with a doctors request!". I almost fell down, because in my condition, the stress caused me to almost faint. I have NEVER fainted in my LIFE! So, I walked downstairs, leaned against my BMW... and began to cry. I'd never been treated so cruelly by a doctor! I'm a grown man of 58 years old and have never cried like that over a situation like that before. I had no one to turn to, as all the other pulmonary doctors were booked up for months. I contacted the local board and they said I had a legitimate complaint. But, I am not the kind to sue or give people bad raps by nature so I held back. But, I regret not doing that, because maybe in some cases such as this, it is time to speak out so that someone else will not get the same horrific treatment that I did. Later, when I did finally see a pulmonary doctor that was actually *recommended* by my primary care doctor, she had me see a pulmonary therapist who actually spent a whole hour with me for FREE in the same John Muir building Dr. Hsu was in and when I told her this story, she let me know that that is not the first time for Dr. Hsu and actually stated that I should consider myself LUCKY he didn't see me! I will not say who she was, but I came This >< close to filing a FULL report on him and if you're reading this Dr. Hsu and I ever encounter your name in a conversation of this type again relating to your cruel treatment of people, I will MOST CERTAINLY file that report I should have two years ago... don't you ever think I won't!!!
