List of Brett Christiansen's Reviews
Dr. Christiansen has been both my boys' doctor for almost 15 years. He has ALWAYS listened, showed empathy, educated me and diagnosed correctly. My husband and I are so grateful to him.
I have a 3 year old and 8 month old twins he takes amazing care of them every time! Best doctor!
When my baby was 2 days old, my husband went with him to the nursery for a bath. Dr. Christiansen was also in the nursery and was talking terribly about another family who did not want to get the hep b vaccine for their baby. My husband came back to tell me how unprofessional he was and how we should rethink him being our child's pediatrician. He does not have good communication with his patients either. Find a pediatrician that is more caring. Also hard to schedule appointments with him.
My daughter has been seeing "Dr. Brett" for 6 years. I have been VERY happy with his interaction with her during every visit. He always listens to our concerns and refers to specialists as needed without hesitation. I would recomend him for any child at any age.
I am so confused how a previous reviewer could find fault with Dr. Christiansen's bedside manner. At every appointment he has always impressed me as a man who genuinely enjoys children. He always spends time talking with my three year old and laughing at her stories and antics--even if the appointment is for her baby brother. I am a nurse with specialized training in pediatrics, and I chose Dr. Christiansen to be the pediatrician for both of my children. I work with many different doctors and I have seen poor bedside manner, and I have seen excellent bedside manner-- and this is an area in which Dr. Christiansen excells (and quite frankly so do all of the Marshall Pediatricians). I have never found him to be rushed or hurried during an appointment, and yet he is very good at managing his time so that you are not left waiting for your appointment because he has fallen behind in seeing patients. He is quite prompt, yet always makes you feel as if he has all the time you need for your appointment and to answer your questions. When I have called with questions, he almost always returns the phone call personally (not his medical assistant, Angie, who is also great). My husband is a bit of a "worrywart," yet Dr. Christiansen never dismisses his concerns. In fact, he is always very thorough in addressing them. My children have had several medical issues when they were infants, and Dr. Christiansen always worked with me to help figure out the problem. When a lot of pediatricians may have dismissed their crying as "colic," Dr. Christiansen worked with me to find possible causes and solutions. If something didn't work, he was ready to listen to my call and come up with another strategy. Because of him, we figured out my son had a dairy allergy, and I had my happy baby boy back instead of having to deal with months and months of crying spells labeled as "colic." Also, when he wasn't sure about an issue with my son, he wasn't too proud to say he wanted to go get another pediatrician to give a second opinion. A lot of doctors would not have the humility to admit they were unsure of something. If I were to say anything less than incredibly enthusiastic about Dr. Christiansen, it would be that he leans more towards ordering tests/labs than other pediatricians may. But, in all honesty, I would prefer any day a pediatrician who is "too" thorough, than one who may not order a test when it is necessary. All in all, I have found Dr. Christiansen to be an excellent pediatrician-- one who goes above and beyond by not just seeing the patient and attending to the immediate need, but who also follows up (and asks me to call him and let him know how things are going). I have always found him to be interested, attentive, kind, and good with my children.
I would highly recommend Dr.Christiansen. He is a wonderful pediatrician. I took my 8 year old son to see him and he was very helpful, knowledgeable, and great with my son! I am very glad that he is my son's doctor.
I would not recommend Dr. Christiansen to anyone. He is unprofessional, uncaring, rude, and arrogant. I do not expect my sons pediatrician to come into the exam room chewing gum. Whenever I have an appointment with him I feel very hurried and like I am taking up his time. I never feel very comfortable with him or his medical opinion. I really don't understand why he became a pediatrician!!!!!
Very good with kids. Always thourough explains everything.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
