I am so glad I was referred to Dr. Brown! I had seen multiple doctors that had no clue what was going on with me. Dr. Brown spent a lot of time with me, and diagnosed me with two conditions (POTS and ADHD), and referred me to a specialist for another condition (EDS). Dr. Brown helped me find a good medication balance for symptom management, and my quality of life has improved so much since I first saw her. Dr. Brown really cares about her patients, and I would highly recommend her

Dr Brown is amazing. I didn't feel right about my daughters diagnosis and treatment plan received by Children's Hospital. So I sought another opinion. Dr Brown ran more tests, even a DNA test and ultimately she determined a different flavor of diagnosis and treatment which has changed my child's life. Highly recommended!

Dr Brown is the BEST! She promised she would not give up on my son and was the first of many Neurologists to do the appropriate testing, diagnosis and treatment. He has been seizure free for 10 years after years of many seizures each day.

our teenage daughter has had chronic headaches for two years. Her pediatrician and two different neurosurgeons at Childrens Hospital in Oakland made us feel repeatedly that her problem was not worth treating (tell that to the girl with the headaches!). Seeing Dr. Brown was a breath of fresh air. She is so compassionate, and promised us from the onset that she would help us get to the bottom of the headaches. It took a year of tests and visits while she methodically narrowed down the diagnosis. She was also honest to say the treatment was out of her realm, but helped us with a referral to a neurosurgeon who could help. I highly recommend Dr. brown!

Dr. Brown has been an amazing resource! I feel so fortunate to have discovered her, and I would highly recommend her to any parent whose child may need a neurological screening or evaluation.I have had my son on a waiting list to be seen at Children's Hospital in Oakland for over 8 months now, and we have yet to be seen (or even get an appointment. We are still on a waiting list). Ruth, Dr. Brown's office manager, was able to have my son seen by Dr. Brown in less than a week!Dr. Brown spent over 2 hours with us on the first visit discussing my 3 year old son's medical history and behaviors. She was kind, patient, and reassuring. She was also extremely thorough and wrote a 5 page report.Before I saw Dr. Brown, I was a distraught parent who knew my son's behavior was not normal. After I met with Dr. Brown, I was so relieved. She provided a diagnosis consistent with his background. She helped me develop an action plan including getting my son occupational therapy and following up with my local school district for preschool services. I was able to call and work with my insurance to get some of his services at least partially covered. Dr. Brown also arranged follow-up visits. Quite simply, Dr. Brown is incredible and exactly everything I would want and hope for in doctor who works with children!
