Henry Chen's Online Review Report Card

So, it turns out that cardiologists come in two types: plumbers and electricians. Dr. Chen is an "electrician". I was referred to him from my "plumber" when I was having trouble with a-fib. He spent as more time with me than you can imagine. He explained everything and was very patient. We discussed all options, including catheter-ablation surgery. In the end, that, along with a CPAP machine and some diet changes have done the trick. His demeanor is great, and I feel that we have a great doctor-patient relationship.

With Dr. Chen, I have probably had the best doctor-patient interaction yet. He will explain everything thoroughly, giving all the pros and cons and all the options as honestly as he can. He has treated my condition, and definitely has contributed to its improvement. I heartily recommend him.

Dr Chen is the most caring and thorough doctor I have met. Definitely my family's favorite doc. He has diagnosed more than one cause of a problem that other doctors told me that they didn't know what to do. He treated them with great results. I have never felt better, and he has saved my life. I have seen him for over 10 years and have referred my family members to see him. He's so busy but all of us feel that we have his 100% attention. He is very smart and went to impressive schools but always explains things in an understandable way. We always feel informed.

My primary care physician asked me to make an appointment with a cardiologist. I made many calls and was about to give up when I finally got one Dr to squeeze me in. My phone rang later that evening. It was Dr. Chen. He asked if I had called his office earlier that day and if everything was ok. I said, yes, as a matter of fact I just met with a cardio. I mentioned to him that I was calling many doctors to see if they had availability and that his office was one that I had called earlier that day. He was relieved to know that I was seen by a doctor and I could sense that he was genuinely concerned. I appreciated his call especially in this day and age when doctors are always rushing and the relationship between the patient has dissolved because of insurance companies. I feel that they don’t listen to us anymore. But Dr Chen actually called back to follow up! The great thing is that he’s not even my doctor and he called me back just to check on my well being. Thanks Dr Chen!

Dr Chen and elite health are a scam - do yourself a favor and stay away! By far the worst experience I’ve ever had from any doctor office. He’s one of the only doctors in the area you can get an appointment with in under a few days... doesn’t that tell you something? If it’s to good to be true, save your time and keep looking! Dr Chen is a con artist and apart of a “elite” healthcare medical malpractice. I strongly recommend seeking elsewhere to avoid having your money swindled from this fraudulent doctor.

Excellent people skills and communication, he explained what happened in detail in layman's terms, so we were able to understand my condition. Very likable doctor and we felt very comfortable with him. I highly recommend Dr. Chen.

Dr. Chen took the time to listen to me and to explained my situation in a manner that was easy for me to understand. Also, he was clear as to what I should expect and what I would need to do to improve my overall medical situation.

My experience with Dr. Chen was quite dissappointing. My husband saw him because he had high blood pressure. My husband was using high dose anti-inflammatory medication for his major hip problems because of a childhood accident near killed him. He cut the anti-inflammatory medication and recommended acitaminophen. Dr. Chen perscribed a Calcium channel blocker to treat my husband's high blood pressure. Has my husband's blood pressure went down? Yes, his blood pressure went down before but his sistolic blood pressure was still high (~150-165). However, my husband's hip pain almost made him cripple. Two weeks ago, my husband's feet swollen and he could not walk because of pain. He went to his family physician and got an ultrasonography from hip to feet. Apparently, what my husband was experiencing is quite common among patients who use calcium channel blockers because it can cause a blood clot. Well, Dr. Chen needs to see his patients as a whole person and treat them accordingly.
