Easy to get appointment. Doctor is friendly with kids. His staff is friendly as well and gives out goodies that kids love. They also send reminders for scheduling check-ups which is difficult to remember otherwise, at least for me :) If your insurance covers it, go for him!

My kids go to Dr DelPorto for over a year now and i am super happy. He is calm, engaging and quick. His bedside manners are awesome and he is very knowledgeable. I wish he could take me in as a his patient too :) His support staff is also very nice and accommodating

We were referred to Mark Dal Porto, DDS from our Pediatricians office. I was skeptical that this would be the place that we would 'call home' for our sons dental care, as it's about 20 mins away from our house.... but after todays visit, I have NO further doubts that this is where both of my sons will receive their dental care for many years to come. The entire front desk staff were pleasant and professional, making us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend this office to you if you are looking for a pediatric dentist here in Sunnyvale. Even though it was a little extra drive time, it was time very well spent!!

My kids have been going to him for seven or eight years now, and have to say the experience has only got better with time.  I really appreciate that he is not trying to up-sell us any treatments, and they are up front with estimates, insurance coverage etc.  The front desk is so nice, and the whole experience is very friendly.  They take trouble to schedule all of three of them together for regular checkups and work so quickly with his assistant multi-tasking on x-rays etc as needed that the visits go super fast.  He was so careful not to push things on my two yr olds beyond their comfort zone that now at 4+ they have no qualms about a full cleaning and check up and went thro a cavity fill with no trauma.  In emergencies they squeeze you in no problem

Dr. Dal Porto and his office staff was a gift to both of my daughters.  My older daughter had an absess above a baby tooth (4 yrs old) while we were traveling and by the time we returned home, she needed to have the tooth pulled.  We were refered to Dr. Dal Porto.  Although it was a traumatizing thought my 4 yr old would need a big task taken care of, Dr. Dal Porto made both my 4 yr old and me feel much more comfortable.  When it came time for my younger daughter to start seeing Dr. Dal Porto, he again came through with flying colors for compassion and helping my daughter get through a sever doctor phobia (due to a ENT dr. which cause a lot of pain and suffering when she was 2 yrs old.)  Now my daughter is 14 and although anxious to visit doctors, she has taken good care of her teeth and enjoyes her visits with Dr. Dal Porto.

My kids have been going to Dr. Dal Porto for over 7+ years.  I am very happy with him because Dr. Dal Porto is very knowledgeable and experience dentist.  My son fell and chipped his front tooth.  This was a bad fall.  I took him in and Dr. Dal Porto was able to glue it back together.  Furthermore, he pays very close attention to it and ensure there are no major issues down the road.  I am very grateful for his work and would highly recommend him.  Hang Lee (Brandon & Nathan's Dad)

Dr. Dal Porto rocks!My daughter has suffered from a number of dental issues. We found Dr. Dal Porto after we had seen other Pediatric Dentists who we were dissatisfied with. Dr. Dal Porto is patient and kind. He takes the time to explain and demonstrate procedures. This approach works very well for my daughter.Dr. Dal Porto and his team are attentive and helpful. Full disclosure of cost and terms are made very clear. Scheduling is convenient and the nurses and office staff are very friendly. Before meeting Dr. Dal Porto my daughter hated the dentist. Now if you ask what she would like to be when she grows up, she says, "A Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Mark!"

Both of my sons have been going to Dr. Mark Dal Porto for over 10 years.  Dr. Dal Porto is very patience and does a thorough job for both of the boys.  I highly recommend him because is gentle and will answer all of your questions.

We chose Dr. Dal Porto because he's in our dental network and one of the few pediatric dentists in the area. My son has been with Dr. Dal Porto for 3 years and I was not quite impressed by the dental work they have done to him. My son had his first filling in 2007 and the filling fell off 6 months later. The Dr. re-filled his tooth, but of course, we paid double for the same filling due to the poor work that had done at the first place. Since then, we just went back to this place for regular cleaning only. Last time my son got his cleaning, the Dr. only cleaned his front teeth and skipped the back. The whole cleaning took less than 10 mins to complete. It made me feel like they were not taking their patient seriously, even though they are young kids.Overall, we were not happy with the dental work by this doctor. The worst experience we had with this dental office is the "extra services" they provided associate with extra charges not covered by the insurance. They usually put some foam on the children's teeth after the cleaning and it is not covered by the insurance. I informed the office to skip the services that are not covered by our insurance. Yet, our dental bill continued to show these charges after each cleaning. They also did an special X-ray to my son's teeth showing the root of his teeth without checking or telling me whether my insurance will cover for it. We ended up with paying extra $80+ for it. During our debate about this extra charge with their office, they told us it would not be waived and later sent us another bill with finance charge.We paid it off to save the hassle of arguing with them but will never ever return to this office again.

I called this office originally to see Dr. Timpe - I was referred to him by a friend. My 3 yr daughter was complaining of a toothache, and sure enough, I could see a small cavity in one of her molars. Dr Timpe was on vacation, and Dr. Mark shares an office with him, so they referred me to Dr. Mark.The office is welcoming for children and adults, the staff was friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Lots of toys and books to keep the kids occupied while they wait. Very clean. Dr. Mark was friendly and put my daughter at ease. They were great at engaging my daughter and making her feel comfortable, introducing each tool and explaining what it would do. (A bit sing-songy and talking down to her, but it worked.) She will need to have the cavity filled, so a temp was put on till tomorrow when they will fill, today was just an exam (to assess the scope of the decay) and cleaning.Overall, a good first experience and I will bring my older daughter back for care here as well. Dr. Mark also mentioned his father was DDS and worked in the same office, so that gave me some confidence in his abilities.
