However, 52.0% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing long wait times in the ER, rude staff behavior, and billing inconsistencies. This hospital is horrible. The wait time is over 8 hours with no beds available patients are literally lying on the floor. Nurses are drawing blood in chairs and leaving blood on the seats. This feels like third-world medicine. The doctors seem lost and unorganized. If you come in with chest pain, be prepared to wait endlessly. Absolutely awful experience. Do not come here.
Underwent open heart surgery and spent nearly 2 weeks recovering ; best surgical team and the ICU staff was both kind and highly professional. Highly recommend
I came in two days ago for an ultrasound and blood draw. Came back two days later when asked to and i’ve waited nearly 9 hours for the same thing plus a shot(still here and haven’t received it). No one has come over to us unless we ask what’s going on and it’s honestly incredibly frustrating. I wish to never come back honestly.
I really appreciate Dr. Yoshida in the ER. Efficient, empathetic, smart and knows his meds. He did not down play the pain I was having. Big thanks!
Brought my elderly father for his appointment . Terrible service. Appointment said to arrive at 2:25. Arrived at 2:15. Waited for 45 minutes. The entire waiting lobby cleared out twice. I asked where we were at and the receptionist said they are just cleaning the room. Waited another 15 minutes and asked again. She said they will call for us. The screen in the waiting area claimed that this doctors appointments were on time. When the medical assistant finally called for us I inquired about the delay. With no apology she said we are only 20 minutes behind. When I asked what happened she unapologetically said other patients were behind. Very poor attitude of service from all parties involved.
This is literally the worst hospital ever. The staff is rude and they don't have enough beds. At some point order more! I waited for over 2 hrs with extreme back pain had a 103 fever and they jst kept telling me they're waiting for something to open up and gave me a tylenol its insane how they dont care.
Go there for sports related visits - sends you somewhere else (takes your money, gives no value). Medicine, the only profession where you can charge a customer to tell them you are unqualified to provide them the service they asked for. Seeking consult for eye surgery "Sorry, if you've had any surgeries before, they won't even talk to you - won't do the work". At least they didn't charge me a consult fee to tell me this- that's a positive. Need a physical, check-up, anything routine... 1/5 times you feel like a patient. 4/5 times you are like a fast food customer, never really sure when I see the Dr - but spend an immense amount of time in other areas waiting rooms for blood draw, samples, etc- all to get no information. Hours of my time, 6 minutes of the Dr; but a bill that suggests the opposite. This place is emblematic of "Doctors for Dollars over Care". Gotta love capitalism.
I am a family of a patient taken cared of by A Surgeon , Dr. Vanni Matharam ! She took care of my sister with ruptured appendix complicated with rectal bleeding on September 2025 Dr. Vanni was very rude, unkind no empathy to my sister and family. Dr. Vanni insinuated that my sister has dementia when in fact patient was oriented fully , she was just week! She was very abrupt and no professional bedside manner ! She insinuated that "she might have cancer metastasis all over that may have caused bleeding" when in fact the abdominal CT Scan has not indicated that! She should not make negative assumptions and speak so rudely but should be positive , respectful and emphathetic to patient and family and provide understanding and positive support to patient ! With the rectal bleeding , she thought and insinuated that it was the end for the patient and asked " what you all want to do"?! i don't think that was an appropriate question in that she should suggest positive direction and suggestions for treatment! my sister then got transferred to ICU, got stabilized , sent to telemetry unit then to skilled nurse facility and home now! to summarize, Dr Vanni Matharam was very unprofessional , no bedside manners, unkind and no empathy as a Surgeon !!!! Thank you !!
I am writing to share my recent experience at Stanford Emergency Child Care, which was extremely disappointing and stressful for our family. We brought our 14-month-old baby after he fell and his tooth came off. He was in obvious pain and crying continuously. Unfortunately, the nurse who attended to us was quite rude and insensitive during the process. He attempted to take my baby's oxygen twice, but when he was unable to do so--and while my baby was crying--he simply sent us away without any reassurance or care. What made the situation worse was seeing the doctor sitting right across from us. The staff were talking and laughing while my baby cried in pain, yet no one came to attend to him immediately. When the doctor finally came over, his attitude felt very casual and dismissive, as if the urgency of the situation didn't matter. Overall, the experience left us feeling unheard, unsupported, and extremely disappointed with the level of care provided to a baby in distress. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so no other parent has to go through a similar experience. Thank you.
I, Stephanie Brown, am requesting that my son T. B. be transferred from Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital in Pleasanton CA to Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto CA immediately. I made a request for a transfer on Friday, November 14, 2025. The doctor said, my son would get the same care at both locations. Basically, he didn't take me serious. His medical records are not available on the MyChart App for this current Hospital stay. Trust issues & incorrect information has been conveyed to our family. We need this transfer to the Stanford Palo Alto campus before any procedures are done at the Pleasanton location.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
