One Star - just because she may be a good doctor. Dr Duggal may be a good doctor but her practice is dishonest & she lack in follow ups. First of all, she needs to train her office staff so that they can explain the care & billing process to patients properly. In my case, during my physical examination, I found her good if not best & that followed by routine blood tests. After getting the blood test done there was no follow up or any kind of updates from her/her office on next steps or any explanation on reports. Patients are left to infer the meaning of reports on their own, as if they hold medical degrees and can understand the details better, right? That's not the case with me, I will need my doctor to help me understand the result of the report hence I had to book a follow up for physical, which was charged with $195 for no reason. When talked to insurance company, they told me that the charge was for couple of medical conditions like THALASSEMIA MINOR & MIXED HYPERLIPIDEMIA. Really??? Are you kidding me, this is just the analysis of blood report & should have been told to me without any charge... Also to be clear, doctor has never got me checked for Thalassemia Minor (this condition is pre-known to me and I only told her why my hemoglobin is low) so you are charging me for information I am sharing with you !!!!! I will not recommend her to anyone not because she is not a good doctor but for her dishonest practice.
I would highly recommend as a primary care doctor. She listens to my concerns and refers me to specialists in a timely manner. I never have to wait too long for an appointment with her and feel confident that she has my best interests in regards to my health. I just had an appointment and she put a referral in and the doctor called me 24 hours later after my initial appointment.I am sorry to see the reviews that were negative, Dr Duggal has been my primary care doctor since 2014 and I never had any issues. There has been a few problems with billing but that were resolved by her staff. It was later determined that it was my insurance company and not the doctor’s office.Thank you Dr Duggal and Staff for taking care of me and my daughter.

I've had quite the opposite experience compared to some of the other reviewers! My (numerous) interactions with Dr. Duggal have been great. She's very caring, interested in my health and well-being and incredibly responsive. She will even call after office hours to follow up with results or answer a question. I highly recommend her for a PCP!
She deserves <1 star. Sadly for me and lucky for her, Dr. Carter had the opportunity to retire. When she did, I called the office and asked them who would be able to fill her shoes. They told me, "Dr. Duggal is nice." So I made my annual physical appointment with her. She was disinterested in my exam. She didn't make eye contact. She showed no sign of caring. She ordered some additional tests and then more then 2 weeks later, she still hasn't followed up with me about them other than to have her office person (obviously not a nurse) send me a message stating the tests were fine. However, I have since received a letter from the radiologist that read my studies stating I have a need for additional testing. They also stated my ordering physician will need to order that additional testing. Now I am looking to have a minor surgery on my foot and require my doctor to, "clear me for surgery." I took the form into Dr. Duggal's office 3 weeks ago (which also happened to be just a couple of weeks from my annual physical) and was told that I would just need to come in for the EKG. I explained that I had an appointment to followup with my cardiologist and they would be doing the EKG and reporting back to Dr. Duggal. They said that would be fine and that I wouldn't need an appointment. Yesterday ( 1 week from my surgery date) I called to see if they had completed my clearance form. The office person, scoffs at me... "Oh, you need to come in for an appointment." I clarified the situation and the previous conversation I had. I asked why I had to see the doctor again when she had just seen me for a COMPLETE physical. She said, "The doctor has to ask you about your surgery history." I explain it is all in my record right in front of her and was told, "You need to come in for an appointment." I'm super irritated at this point but agree to the appointment (which by the way they get to bill my insurance for and I will have to pay them my $40 copay). They make me an appointment for today. A little later, the same office moron calls me to say that I don't need to come in, they will send the paperwork over. That brings me to today... The foot doc office calls they only received part of the clearance from Dr. Duggal and what they have is not completed. I call Dr. Duggal's office again and am told I have to come in for an appointment. The conversation from yesterday repeats and they agree to send the completed packet. 2 hours later I get another call from the foot doc office... now they have written on the paperwork that I haven't had a medical screening for surgery... I swear they are just trying to get another co pay and insurance payment from me... Smells like insurance fraud coupled with pathetic lack of actual medical care. Not only is this "Doctor" a poor excuse for a provider, her office staff is uneducated, disorganized and rude. I am heartbroken to have lost such a great doctor in Dr. Carter and appalled that anyone would believe Vandana Duggal could even come close to filling her shoes. My recommendation... Don't see this "Doctor" if you actually have any medical issues.

I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing Dr. Duggal when my PCP had to retire. I was told by the office staff that she was, "ok" that should have been my first sign. When I saw her for my annual physical she rarely if at all made eye contact... Just stared at her computer, typing away. I explained that I had a couple of medical complaints. She ordered a couple of tests and sent me on my way. Two weeks after my test were done she finally had her office flunkies send me a message that said my test were normal. There was no mention of next steps... No follow up or follow through with my concerns. She had also ordered my mammogram. Which I had already received information from the radiologist stating I needed additional images and had called my gyn to order those additional images as well as have those schedule before Dr. Duggal's office moron sent me a note that she had ordered additional images for me. Around the same time I had to have the doctor sign off on my pre op physical to repair a minor foot issue. At first the office flunky told me I need to come in for a pre op physical. I explained that I had just had my physical 2 weeks before and that seemed silly. She put me on hold and then came back and agreed. I would just need to have my cardiologist send them a copy of my EKG. Done. I do as she asked, call the office 2 weeks later to pick up my paper work and they tell me with a huge attitude, "heh, you have to come in for a preop physical." When I asked why, the office flunky stated, "The doctor has to ask you more questions." "What surgeries you have had." What the heck!!! I tell her that all of that information is in my chart and that we discussed all of this at my complete physical that was just a couple of weeks ago. I am, at this point, very upset because I don't have time. My surgery is less than a week away. You can image how upsetting this could be. In the end, the doctor sent noy my foot surgeon the paperwork stating that I had NOT had a pre op physical. Since I didn't come in and give them another copay and another opportunity to bill my insurance they would not complete Way to do what is right for your patients Dr. Duggal. This pathetic health care at best. Don't go to her if you have any actual health issues.

My mother saw this particular doctor. She is not responsive, respectful, informative, or empathetic. Would not recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
