It's funny, but I never visited this office. If it's anything like my ortho office they overbook patients and leave the staff overwhelmed and overworked. It's not their fault entirely when the manager should hire more staff or stop over-booking patients. Do more with less is the theme of a lot of businesses lately.
I had no problem with any staff,or Dr. Lilley. I'll be back.
Awful, awful staff in front office. I’ve had to call 6 to 8 times before finally giving up and l message. Then half the time they don’t call back. I have left my name and phone number on the message, yet when I call them on it, they tell me they tried to call a number I had years ago. Most recently I’m made two appointments with them on speakerphone and others present. When I showed for the appointment, they said I had the wrong office. When I told them the person with me had heard the entire conversation, they still told me it was my mistake and was quite rude about it. We have been more than tolerant. I have been coming here for the doctors, but I won’t be returning again because of their truly incompetent office staff.
My problem is not with Dr Lilly it’s with his staff at the front desk. This is the second time I tried to make an appointment and after more than 24 hrs had to call them back, yet they insisted on taking my number even though they had me on the phone. Still waiting for them to call me back, so I can make an appointment. The first time this happened I was trying to make an appointment with Dr Ward.
Thank you so much for explaining for us lay people about your surgery on Geralds hand. Very interesting.
Don't bother calling to make an appointment unless you like having to leave a voicemail that is never returned. After 3 days of calling, I could not get them to call me back, nor was I able to speak to a human in their appointment center. I was told, "we get 100 calls a day," as a reason for no one answering. In an 8 hour day, that means 12 calls an hour. They can't handle 12 appointments in one hour? How long does it take to schedule an appointment? Ridiculous.
Pleasant bedside manner, very thorough and extremely skilled surgeon. Dr. James Smilley explained my 12-year-olds procedure in detail & was glad to answer questions.
I recently had a full amputation of my LH index and middle fingers..table saw accident. I went to see Dr Lilley on recommendation from my uncle, who's hand was repaired by him after being hit by a small plane propeller. He now has full functionality. Lilley didn't take my insurance group, so I paid out of pocket to see if he'd be a good fit. The visit cost me $300 but was worth every penny. He was brilliant, knowledgeable, and instilled total confidence. The other surgeons I interviewed did not.
Dr. Lilley diagnosed both of my wrists and tried a number of treatments, saving surgery as the last resort. He repaired my left wrist 6 months ago, and it is better than ever! He says my right wrist is not as bad, but could do the same surgery if necessary. I would do it except for the 4 months of grueling recovery. If I do, I will have Dr. Lilley do it for certain! He’s got a great bedside manner, is very knowledge, friendly, gives thorough explanations without being condescending, and is a fantastic surgeon.
Dr Lilley performed surgery on my right hand a few years back and now I am scheduled for a procedure on my left hand. Great doctor, has very good bedside manner and just an all around good guy. Would recommend him to everyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
