Sachin Patel's Online Review Report Card

Extremely bad. I had an appointment with Dr. Patel in March, 2023 to schedule a total knee replacement surgery for June, 2023. I postponed the surgery until July, 2023. The afternoon before my surgery I was contacted by his office that my surgery had been canceled due to miscommunication with my insurance coverages. I actually have two insurance coverages. They could not get this coordinated for over four months. They asked me to wait another month. I am changing to another Doctor.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This "ortho" is dangerous & has no idea what he is doing. This guy should not have a license to practice medicine. My Dad shattered his ULNA bone & was seen at ER. This "doctor" discharged him & said no surgery needed while my dad was still profusely bleeding w/a shattered bone and on blood thinners. Took Dad to another ER and they said the exact opposite, he needs emergency surgery and should have had surgery day of injury. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!

This so-called doctor is dangerous and should not be working in an ER at all! My Dad had an injury resulting in shattered Ulna bone & this idiot discharged him saying no surgery required! Dad is diabetic and on blood thinners w/open wound and a shattered bone w/bleeding not under control. Had 2nd opinion & shocker, he needs emergency surgery and should have had surgery night of injury & ER visit. DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR EMERGENCY/TRAMA INJURIES!! He should stick to sprains and bruises and remove himself from the ER setting!!

Dr Patel was incredibly rude, spent less than 5 mins in the room and was completely dismissive and unhelpful. I was downright shocked at how unprofessional he was. He was combative with his responses and seemed to be offended I wanted to ask questions. I waited 2 weeks to get an appointment with him only to be left with less info coming out of there. My visit was a total waste of time. The staff at Garey ortho was professional and friendly but if you have a choice to see a different doctor there I’d avoid Dr. Patel in favor of someone that actually may like dealing with patients that have questions.

Arrogant and dismissive. Spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me. A waste of time and money for me.

Dr. Patel was caring and compassionate to my case. He took time to explain my injury and treatment process. He was realistic to my healing process, and I appreciate this very much. I am walking and I am taking it easy. Thank you Dr. Patel.

I am appalled at how this doctor conducts himself. He is glib when dealing with patients and is very dismissive of what the patient is telling him. I was in extreme pain from shoulder problems. He did nothing the day I came for my appointment which took 6 weeks to get in for. He left the room as I was crying and talking to him. He made me schedule another appointment to get a cortisone shot. Felt like he just wanted to bill appointment and did not care at all about how much pain I was having. Bedside manner is horrible. This doc is condescending and shows no empathy.

I arrived to my appointment on time, but still had to wait at least an hour or more before being called back to be seen by the doctor. Then, at least another half hour before in exam room, before I was seen by Dr Patel. When he came in, he questioned why I was there, without referring to my chart, which was in his hand. After I explained that I had recently went to urgent care for pain in my shoulder & that I was told to follow up with my doctor or orthopedic specislist, he acted like he didn't understand why I was there & "what did I want him to do?" Literally, I felt like he thought I was wasting his time. The last time I had seen him was in 2017, for the same issue & he was more attentive, caring & gave me some recommendations. This time, he didn't even exam me. I truly felt offended by his attitude & his lack of interest in helping me to eliminate my pain. Maybe, he was having a bad day, but that's not my fault.

Dr Patel is a wonderful orthopedic surgeon. He gave my husband a new shoulder about 6 years ago and it has functioned perfectly..... My husband is 76 and still bowls! I have been in to see him for a shoulder issue and he always makes me feel like I am his only patient. The Dr is a kind, patient and understanding person. He always asked about how my husband is doing! The staff is exceptional too!
