List of Sharyn Brekhus's Reviews
Tried to get an appointment. Was told first available was 9 days out. I accepted. Then the day of, they canceled and offered another one 20 days out. I accepted again unfortunately. The day of they canceled again pushing it out another week. No more, waited in pain for a month for nothing. Do your research. I wish I had seen these reviews before I wasted a month. Find someone who cares
Dr. Breakups and her staff have been awesome! I’ve had constant lower back pain for over 8 years and was relieved after a quick surgery. Now a few months later I have little to no pain and I am able to function like a normal person.I really don’t understand why some people had a terrible experience, but I can assure you that it’s probably because you’re a difficult patient to deal with. *shrugs*
If there were less than one star that’s what I would give. Brianne who makes the appointments is neither trained nor equipped to deal with patients. The office manager Denise was extremely rude & dismissive . I called 13 times because the night before my appointment, I was left a message that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. As it turned out, it didn’t need to be. The message says your phone call would be returned within ONE business day. Mine never was. I have been dealing with medical professionals for the last 33 years because of my neck & back. I have NEVER been treated so rudely in all of those years! My Dr got me an emergency referral because I need neck surgery, and now, because of THEIR error, I have to wait 19 days to be seen, when originally I had an appointment in 2 days due to the urgency of surgery. Denise was more concerned about covering her & her employee’s behind, than making things right with the patient. Last time I saw Dr. Brechus I liked her very much. I just wonder if she is aware of how badly her patients are being treated by her staff. Had I not continued to call, and ask for someone different, who knows when I would get to see the Dr. I reminded Denise about the urgency of my surgery @ she was not even willing to try to get me an earlier apt. I said if they are that busy, that they can’t return phone calls, or expedite appointments they screwed up on, I would gladly call my insurance & tell them to halt all referral to their office. She then became extreme rude & short. I’ve NEVER left a bad reference in my life. This should say something about how badly I was treated.
Brekhus,Is not attentive, is not thourough, does NOT follow up.I've been in pain for over 6 years .When I explain my pain and numbness to her,She says,"hum" then does nothing to evelate or correct the nerve injury.A total waste of my precious time.
Horrible experience with this doctor!! She was so intimidating that I couldn’t think to answer her questions! She grabbed my leg so hard I started to cry, she looked up and walked out! We were done!
She is caring and very thorough in her profession.
Dr. Brekhus comes off as being quite competent, yet caring. Shes warm, but professional. Shes interested, and very pluggedin. I have a lot of confidence in her and her abilities.
Dr. Brekhus preformed emergency lamendectomy (Spine surgery for spinal stenosis). She is fantastic! I thoroughly recommend her.
DR BREKHUS IS THE WORST DOCTOR IVE EVER DEALT WITH. Does not care for her patients.I called the office letting the front desk know I was running late because my directions redirected me elsewhere. The front desk lady ALMA was rude on the phone and directed me to the wrong building which made me even later. I showed up 12 minutes late and they told me I could not be seen. I asked to speak to the doctor and she told me she would not see me, very rudely. I told her that it doesn't seem like she's busy considering her waiting room was empty. That I have been in chronic pain for 4 years and now has worsened the past 4 months, that it was so hard to get this appointment. I said if you really care about your patients and their health you would see them. (not to mention I was crying at the time ) she still said I'm not seeing you and walked away. WORST DOCTOR. Does not care for her patients. Very rude. Un approachable.
WORST DOCTOR IVE EVER HAD. Denied seeing me when I was 12 minutes late, after HER front desk lady Alma told me the wrong building. After crying to her saying I work two jobs and am a full time student, that it was so hard to make this appointment work, she said she wont see me. I told her Ive had chronic back pain for 4 years and its unbearable now, that I would appreciate it if she could just squeeze me in; her waiting room did not have ONE patient waiting. She said no and walked away. I told her she must not care about her patients or their health to deny someone so desperate, crying, while she has no patients waiting in the waiting room. I ft completely humiliated by her and her own staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
