List of Ramu Thiagarajan's Reviews
Dr Thiagarajan is fine, once you actually have an appointment; however, her staff is horrible. I made about 5 phone calls just trying to make an initial appointment , finally gave up and went in person to schedule an appointment. I have made dozens of calls to the office, left messages every time (I’ve never gotten through) and have NEVER gotten a return call. Today was the final straw. My son needed his anti seizure medication refilled. Starting over a week ago the pharmacy has left messages, I have left probably about 8-10 messages, his group home administrator and the regional center service coordinator have left messages - no refill has been called in. Oh wait, there was a refill called in to THE WRONG PHARMACY but that pharmacy doesn’t carry that medication and have to get prior insurance approval before even ordering it, so nothing will be done until Monday, at the earliest. Meanwhile my son is going without his anti seizure medication starting with tonight, Friday Saturday Sunday and most likely Monday. It is unconscionable that the doctor and her incredibly inept staff have lead us to this situation. Looks like I’m going to be at Dr Thiagarajans’ office first thing Monday morning to let them know, in person, just how unprofessional and careless they are.
She answered her personal phone 3 times while I was being seen. Has dismissed my concern for white matter found on my cat scan. When I mentioned that a doctor said my symptoms were suspicious of MS she switched the subject to my past cluster headaches. She said it wasn’t a serious decision if I wanted a cat scan update, prescribed a headache injection pen. Never called to pre-authorize even after I told the office my insurance covered it and only needed a phone call from anyone even the staff to verify. I began having serious numbness in arms and feet. Called and left several messages to please schedule a MRI and new scan. No one returned my messages. I received a call saying I missed a virtual appt. they had never been scheduled or needed because the only appointment needed was for an in person scan and imaging. I cannot get this office or doctor to help me in anyway. I would never recommend as she is too busy overseeing other offices and does not listen to patients concerns.
She genuinely cares about her patients
When Doctor forgot to order my medication I called the office and left a message. No one got back to me. I called again and left a message. I left a total of four messages. No one got back to me. This scenario has happened to me 3 times. In the past I was told the doctor has 4 offices in Tulare county. I have to draw the conclusion she is overworked. My appointments were rushed so much so that I forgot half of what I wanted to tell her. I rely on my doctors to be available and expect a response by her or her staff to advise me within 72 hours. My pain level is increasing and I am left suffering. The Hippocratic Oath says first do no harm. I’m assuming she forgot.
She’s very friendly and very smart she will answer your questions for you and help you the best she can. If she gives you advice I like her a lot she’s very patient takes her time. And she’ll answer other questions too that you have. I recommend her I really do.
I was not allowed to see the doctor, even though I was not feeling well, because I still owed $100.
Dr T is the worst MD I have ever seen in my life. She could not remember what happened from each prior visit. She insisted I was taking an RX from her that I was unable to take and told her each visit. I saw her a total of 2.5 years and each visit, she could not "get" that I could not take the meds. She also had very weird ideas that are not the norm and contradict previous Neurologists I have had and does not go with any literature. I worked 32 years as a professional in healthcare and she has no clue! She should stop practicing medicine. I found a wonderful new neurologist who listens and so agreed with me against everything she said and he makes sense. Office help never returns calls even to my infusion nurses. Also my last appt was scheduled for the phone and confirmed the day before but she never called me. I called back twice to see what happened and to reschedule but no call back whatsoever. Her office is old and dirty.
Be careful about your phone visits they are billing it as a virtual visit for $130.00 I’m canceling all my appointments with her. The billing company makes too many mistakes and a phone call isn’t worth that much money.
Thank you to this office! Staff and MD are top notch!
She saved me in so many ways! Just being herself and being a caring, feeling, respectful neurologist. I do not see her any more as I have moved. If I had the chance, I would have her as my doctor forever! I have already seen 2 neurologist since, and no way do they compare!Thank you Dr.T for showing me what a true neurologist should be! The ones I have seen, seem to have forgotten why they choose this career... SINCERELY, Michelle Elliott in California

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
