Dr. Hanneken is a gifted healer. She is a scientist as well as an excellent physician. She is kind and patient and very understanding! In my opinion there is no one more capable than her in this field. The office is well-organized and very efficient. All of the latest technical equipment is available.

Dr. Hanneken squeezed me in for an emergency appointment on a Friday afternoon, rather than brushing me off to the ER. She could not have been kinder or more patient and explained everything clearly in a gentle and non-condescending manner. I'd happily return any time--although I hope I never have to!

I feel very blessed to have Dr Hanneken taking care of my eyes Always friendly, kind and caring. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

I am a 56 years old R&D Mechanical Engineer and was lucky to be treated by Dr. Anne Hanneken who is a retinal specialist. I am in good health, athletic and a person who loves to surf. I was treated for superior and inferior retinal tearing (detachments on the top to bottom of my right eye). My injury was caused by an impact to my eye which as a result caused thousands of tiny "floaters" and several large dark-spots in my vision. Basically, my retina was ripping apart from top to bottom at many locations. After several procedures and surgery she repaired my eye and saved my vision. In addition, her team/staff always made me feel comfortable. Now, I have 20/15, excellent vision with no dark-spots, no floaters on the treated eye. Once again, I am working out and enjoying surfing. I'm still amazed! I have since spoken to several Medical Professionals' who have heard of Dr. Hanneken and all have described her as one of the best. I highly recommend Dr. Hanneken to anyone who has any issue with their retinas. In my opinion, they will receive treatment with the most qualified and skillful person in this field.

I had a pretty bad surf injury and right after the accident, the doctors did not give me a good prospect. I approached Dr. Hanneken a week after the accident and kept her as my doctor until I had to leave to Germany two months after. With hindside I can say that I was increadibly lucky to have been treated by such an engaged and compassionate person. Although being always honest with me about my chances to see again, she showed great enthusiasm about each improvement. Her expertise helped me to cure the eye to a level, at which I can see pretty well again. This is also due to a great job she did when she operated the eye. By taking a couple of right decisions she heavily contributed to the good state the eye is in today. When I was back in Germany, a well-known opthalmologists was amazed when he saw the result months after and praised the outstanding treatment Dr. Hanneken gave me.I owe the deepest gratitude to her and can highly recomend her as a doctor.

Dr. Hanneken was my opthalmologist after I had a bad surf injury, heavily damaging the right eye. She treated the eye with great expertise and made me regain my vision after a difficult surgery. I always experienced her as a compassionate doctor who took time for me and felt happy for me with each improvment. This helped me a lot to go through that difficult time.
