I am extremely pleased with Dr. Cohen. Everyone on his staff has been very profession, friendly, & efficient to myself and my husband (also a patient). From phone calls to make appointments, to follow up support questions, they all are amazing. Dr. Cohen, as their leader, is on a whole other level. To me, he’s the best. I was a tricky patient but he never made me feel odd or unusual. He always takes the time to answer our questions, often using models, X-rays, and other methods to demonstrate exactly what my issues are. After that, he gives me options and recommendations. That way I feel I'm in control of what happens next and he would merely execute “our” plan. I always feel empowered with Dr. Cohen, never bullied, forced or talked down to. He is also a very friendly guy. The real bottom line...my quality of life has greatly improved, thanks to Dr. Cohen. Surgeries are never fun but, with Dr. Cohen, I feel safe and secure. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need.

Great doctor and Great r

Dr. Cohen spent the right amount of time with me on initial visit to explain my Xray and options. In choosing the surgery, he educated me on the actual surgery process and what I could expect after. I was especially comforted by the way he shows pride in his work and how it helped other patients. He and his staff were all very comfortable to talk with and showed interest in my well being and recovery.

Dr. Cohen replaced my knee on November 24, 2021. It was done as an outpatient and I was released within a few hours. I started physical therapy right away and completed by April 30, 2022. I have total movement and absolutely no pain anymore. I was so impressed with Dr. Cohen and his staff for the help and wonderful job that was done and am so grateful for the work that was done.

I'm still dealing with rehab but things are moving along fine after six weeks. Dr. Cohen explains what results he wants. PT is what gets you there.

Dr. Cohen has done 3 surgeries on me. 2 arthroscopic knee surgeries, left and right. He also repaired my right shoulderI, rotator cuff and bicep tendon tears. Im 60 years old and doing things I did at 45. Last Friday 4/22 Dr Cohen repaired a torn meniscus. 1 week later I was back on the basketball court making 3 pointers with no pain. Cohen and his team ROCK!!!

Oh I believe Dr. Cohen is a very competent surgeon and he definitely knew what I needed in order to fix my carpal tunnel but he is the most rude Cocky and arrogant man that I have ever met! He made me feel so Uncomfortable the morning of surgery I actually had to walk back to the OR to have my 2nd scheduled carpal tunnel surgery on my other arm and I was feeling uneasy knowing what I had to have done again and I think most doctors would have said something like its OK You know I will take good care of you and there’s nothing to worry about. Sensing my Hesitancy, Mr. Egotistical instead replies we don’t have to do it you can just go home and I won’t waste my time! Who says something like that this conceited professional does end it wasn’t the first time unfortunately I did have to go back and see him because in addition I have a torn bicep and he had the audacity to tell me it did not hurt when You could see the muscle wad up whenever I tried to use it!! Extremely unprofessional!

So thankful for Dr. Cohen's professionalism and expertise. My wife had knee replacement surgery and quite frankly I view our experience as a miracle. Dr. Cohen was perfect and I must complement the office staff as well. So helpful and attentive. I am so thankful for his confidence, experience and knowledge. I have seen several people use the word arrogant to describe Dr. Cohen. I couldn't disagree more. Don't confuse arrogance with confidence. He is confident and absolutely should be. In my opinion he is the best orthopedic surgeon in San Diego County. So thankful we chose him and his staff.
