Ludmilla N Ionescu Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Ionescu was my primary doctor a while back. During this time, I felt awful including sharp stomach pain, nausea, and more which include several trips to the ER. Dr. Ionescu could not figure out. My insurance switched so saw a new primary which I went to for a shoulder issue. Without mentioning this to the new primary in Coronado, he looks at lab work that Dr. Ionescu had ordered and reviewed about 8 months ago. The new primary doctor ask me a few and tell me that I was in anaphylaxis crisis when going to the ER and to avoid eggs. Dr. Ionesu missed the allergy & anaphylaxis with me. I am pretty sure that is malpractice. This could have been a deadly mistake. I feel so much better now avoiding eggs and carying an EiPen.. I won't recommend Dr. Ionescu to anyone.

Dr Ionescu is a nice person, knowledgable, and caring in person, but access to her is difficult. She either has too many patients or the system used to access her isn't efficient. Call backs do not happen in a timely manner. Prescriptions, even recurring ones, are not filled in a timely manner either. There is no patient portal, no access via email, no place to get the doctor's attention when an issue arises. Such lack of access is unfair to patients, especially older ones like myself.

I started seeing Dr. Ionescu 3 years ago, and she's by far the best doctor I have ever seen. Always goes the extra mile and really takes her time to listen to your problems. My husband switched over to her 6 months ago and is receiving the best care. His prior doctor would just continue to do phone visits and refills. Well Dr Ionescu is getting us healthy. I drive 35 mins to see her and she's worth the drive.

She always takes the time to listen, answer questions and make sure you understand exactly what’s going on. You’re not a number she remembers exactly what you have spoken about and anything that is going on with you. She tells you multiple options. I seriously feel like she’s my family. I’ve been going to her for 4 years now I wouldn’t trade her for anyone! Simply amazing.

Best doctor I ever had. Patient, thorough, knowledgeable and caring more for the well being of her patients than the time spend and money made. A rarity nowadays. For decades I did suffer with nasal problems, been seen by many doctors but doctor Ionescu solved it. Thank you.

I was hoping to set up her as my new primary care dr. I made this appointment because I needed one of my seizure medications filled right away. My neuologist has left his practice and I am currently wanting a referral to a new one.....well after being checked in, I was awaiting the dr, when another MA came in and told me point blank that the dr would not fill that prescription and that why wouldn't I go to the neurologists that I listed. She was rude, mean, and gave me no idea what to do. I told her that if I don't have this medicine I will have a seizure....she did not care. I didn't even get to see the dr. It seemed like they did not care what so ever!!! This is the worst medical experience I have ever had.....Luckily I was able to find another Arch Health Partners dr. who was professional, willing to fit me in, and saw me that same afternoon and filled the rx.

Disappointed with Dr. Ionescu and Arch Health. Unethical billing practices! I visited Dr. Ionescu only once for my annual checkup. I wanted to take a referral for a blood test and TB screening for parent volunteers in my kids’ school. I didn't have any health complains. I was billed for level 5 visit (it's maximum) Billing center rejected to change code to preventive medicine according to my visit notes. I was also surprised to see in visit notes that Dr. Ionescu advised me about women’s health. It's still a secret for me how she could do since I wasn't undressed and didn't bring any medical records for my very first visit. Arch Health care is a mystery organization. I could not find any information about office manager or how to send email with questions or complaints. Billing center told that I can communicate only by mail.
