List of Shafi M. Khalid's Reviews
My friend needed to go here and they were very nice and efficient.
My dad been a patient at Khalid office for over 10 years but unfortunately we moved to a different county, and we had to move, but I want to thank Dr. Khalid for his professionalism and his amazing staff specially Jan and the front desk and everyone in his staff. Thank you all for your service
Of all the pain management doctors I have seen, Dr. Khalid is the only doctor that understands my condition and truly is trying to help me.
Was going to this clinic for 5 years. Today I got a call 10 days after they didnt call me for my appointment, saying they no longer are taking my insurance and will need to find another insurance provider or doctor right away to continue treatment. My insurance hasn't changed since the Jan 2020, so how in the middle of the year they find out they can't take it is beyond me and very unprofessional.
Dr Khalid and his staff are amazing. I have been going to Dr Khalid for years and have always received top notch care. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Khalid for any pain needs.
I’ve been calling this office for the past FIVE WEEKS, trying to schedule a new patient appointment. The “scheduler” (female, heavy Asian accent) keeps telling me she’s “too busy today” to make an appointment for me. She has promised to call me back “this afternoon,” “tomorrow” and “maybe Friday” week after week since July 20th! This is the most insane experience I’ve ever had trying to book a new patient appointment. I told her today that my insurance authorization for the referral will expire soon and she still refused to schedule me and AGAIN insisted she would have to call me back later because she’s “just too busy right now.” Unbelievable.
HORRIBLE. Never called me back to schedule the nerve testing that they wanted, nor did they request a referral for an MRI that they also wanted. I had to call them. Tried to tell me they called. Nope. Apparently the doctor never notated that, and is now having me wait until the nerve testing before that will be ordered. Then the girl hung up on me and argued with me about it. Why did I have to call back if you didn't hang up on me then. Customer service needs some help. Like a lot.
I usually don't do the ratings but this office is odd and unprofessional because when I need an appointment no one answer and one of the staff told me that no one really check the voicemail. They give me the same medicine and taking there time to get MRI and epidural injections for me. I'm in alot of pain. I wish they cared enough. I seen them treat someone badly because she's on meds they had her in tears. Now I have to start over with another facility I gave them a chance. I know the new facility will have problems getting my medical records. This office need to be reported or get a good management team. BG
I have been going to Dr Khalid for over 4 years. My husband is a physician in San Diego and refers patients to Pain docs throughout the county. He recommended Dr Khalid based on the feedback he heard from his patients. (He does t receive any kickback for referring patients) If you have CRPS and live in Southern California, please watch Michael Cooney’s YouTube videos of “scrambler therapy” for CRPS. Dr Khalid is the ONLY doctor in San Diego that provides Scrambler Therapy. It can be life saving. I strongly encourage anyone with CRPS to try it first. What I like most about Dr Khalid is that he actually listens to me. When something is not working, he makes changes. His staff is also just wonderful. The office could use a makeover but that is really insignificant to people living with chronic pain.
My husband stopped seeing the dr 2018 but yesterday 2020 we got a copay bill for for 50.00 .He has not seen the Dr since 2018.I have tried several times leaving messages NO LUCK! I went to the office the girl was VERY rude!!!! Still after 2 days have not heard why they want 50.00 what date they are saying we didn't pay I have never received a bill until the other day. Horrible receptionist and management!!! 0 Stars for them if I could!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
