Sharp Community Medical Group's Online Review Report Card

I have been avoiding this medical center due to my past experiences but decided to give it another shot, hoping they have changed the way they operate. I came into urgent care requesting a strep test, they told me it would be an hour wait. 3 hours later I am still here. When I asked why the wait has been so long the nurse told me they only have one provider. For anyone considering coming to Arch Health/Palomar Heath for healthcare, go elsewhere!

Three stars because of the friendly and professional staff ONCE they get to see you.  I was in a car accident and my Tesla SUV flipped, luckily I walked away.  A few days later massive right neck and shoulder pain.  Front desk was super sweet but I was made to sit for three hours before I presented my mug to the good doc.  Now, why call it urgent care if there's only three people ahead of me over a three hour wait? To boot, they forgot to call in my prescription.

I came in an hour after I completely tore my Achilles tendon playing basketball (this is the only place that took me in immediately). I was seen by Dr Brad Cohen, we both knew that I want surgery to get it repaired. He had to move his schedule around to get me in the next day, 24 hours after my injury - I underwent surgery and it was a complete success. My experience with Dr Brad Cohen and his team was top notch, they treated me with empathy and respect. Professional with quality patient care in mind. I am really glad I went to Dr Brad Cohen for help, thank you for getting my life back. Its been 10 weeks since the surgery and physical therapy is going very well. I am able to walk with a boot at the moment and confident that I will be back to 100% in a couple more months. (I had torn my other Achilles 5 years ago so I know the drill and it also helped with being experienced...)I highly recommend Dr Brad Cohen and his team for orthopedic surgery. Thanks Dr Cohen! I will get you that pho I owed you.

Dr. Dennis Mamaril is the best doctor that I have seen yet. He is very professional, listens extremely well, and is genuinely interested/caring for his patients. I arrived early and was seen well before my appointment time. Thank you all!

My insurance assigned me to Dr. Tanksley. He was so helpful and nice. I’m so happy I ended up being his patient.

I've been here several times and it is not very good. One of the doctors is good. Tall guy with black hair. This trip was really bad. There was only one person ahead of me. The nurses made several socially aggressive comments to each other about me being a racist and delicately touched on issues about my trespasses against other people, situations, they couldn't have fully understood having had not even been involved. I waited in the waiting room for a long time. Then they took me into the back and I sat in a room without anyone coming to see me. Two hours I was there for something I could imagine would be a two minute dietary consultation. I walked out. Didn't even see any doctors or nurses there while heading to the waiting room. I do have a few clues about how to fix the problem but they aren't helping. Why would I come to a medical facility if I knew how to fix the problem? I've been trying to see a regular doctor through the same system (arch). I've hit several hangups because of long appointment waits and a missed appointment. After leaving I decided not to post about it, but ended up so indignant towards republicans that there would be no benefit in doing so. Back to square one on all account of my relations with everyone, and the situation. Still have the problem, don't know what to do. What the hell is these guys' problem?

Why isn't 0 stars an option. Complete and utter incompetence from the doctors to the receptionists. 1. Don't know their own phone number apparently since in a letter they sent the wrong one. 2. Failed to send needs meds to correct pharmacy. 3. Scheduled a follow up without consulting me and then when attempting to move it because of THER other mistakes they wanted me to wait an extra month. Don't bother with this company. Kaiser would be a step up and that's a scary thought. And if you're looking to hire - do NOT hire anyone who formerly worked there unless your seeking out incompetence.

Best doctors physician assistants and especially always friendly staff. So happy I found Arch Medical.

I would give Arch 0 stars if I could. The worst part is - I 100% love Dr. Maletz. Outside of his care and concern for patients -- I hate going here and I have begged him to move over to Scripps or Sharp.  I will not stop begging him to leave.Arch runs like some sort of government-run health organization -- which would be fine if I wasn't paying $1000 out-of-pocket per month + a sizable co-pay to be treated like I'm a general annoyance to the entire Arch staff. Arch had no plan for dispersing COVID shots -- to my knowledge, they NEVER did. Thanks to UCSD, I was covered there. Arch constantly recommends you leave voice mails for people who will NEVER call you back. Need an appointment? Hope you have the time and patience to call countless times before someone can take your call. As a business owner, wouldn't you add some staff to the one function that fills your revenue pipeline? Nope. Not Arch.I imagine Arch does all their HR recruiting from the DMV employee pool because if you like it at the DMV you'll feel right at home working for Arch where they don't care about your client/patient experience there either.
