Todd Wine's Online Review Report Card

My experience with this office has been short lived and I've struggled with every interaction with their staff. I saw Dr. Wine a month ago after my insurance assigned him as my PCM. It took a week to be seen for the excruciating breast pain I've been experiencing, but I figured it may be worth the wait because his speciality is internal medicine. During my first appointment he asked me a million questions, and then pretty much said "see you in six weeks". My jaw dropped- "But what about the pain I'm in???" I asked. He said, "Oh, well, you'll need to see an ObGyn for that. And we can't address that today anyway, your exam isn't for another six weeks." He said they would refer me to an OBGyn, and I left this office dumbfounded. I have NO idea how a doctor could seem so careless about a patient in pain, but hoped whoever he referred me to could help. Fast forward more than a week, and I still hadn't heard back from them. So I call the office and find out they never referred me because they "didn't know if my insurance requires a preauthorization or not".... what?! So then call them!! I begged the front desk to get the doctor to put a referral in for me, only to find out that he was on vacation. Thank goodness I eventually made it to some person in their office with a speck of empathy in their body, and they managed to put in an "emergency referral" to an OBGyn- or so I thought, albeit was 50 MILES from my house. Due to ridiculous issues with my insurance understanding *why* I needed to see an OBGyn, they sent me to a breast health specialist instead of an Ob, who quickly determined they could do nothing. Another day wasted- and I still didn't have the referral I needed. I just called this office again, and received totally unprofessional attitudes from every person I spoke to on the phone, most notably Ann. ****Who told me the only reason I haven't seen an OBGyn yet is because I don't "feel like driving" down to the one she already referred me to- she clearly was not understanding that she never even successfully referred me to an OBGyn like I had requested.**** My level of frustration right now with this whole situation is extreme, and even after all of this- I'm still in EXCRUCIATING PAIN- and Ann has the nerve to tell me, "well, your new referral will be processed by Monday, I'm sure." Monday?? Really??? I've had it with this office and their lack of compassion. They can't keep referrals or reasons for referrals straight, and they most certainly don't consider your well being or pain level when they're going through their daily stacks of patient requests. All they care about it doing their job and nothing else. If you want to see a doctor who actually cares about you, and who wants to get you out of pain, do not come here. I'm changing my PCM first thing Monday morning, and will most likely end up at the ER this weekend.

Doctor Wine is the best physician I have met in my 86 years. I have been his patient for 4 years and have Parkinson's, Diabetics and Inoperable back causing constant pain and P.T.S.D. Doctor Wine cut my prescriptions from 14 to 5 and I feel better with his treatment. Doctor Wine in addition to being the best technician is also a comforting doctor resulting in my trust. As a 90% disabled war veteran, his caring , honest discussions and reviews were by far better than the many government and private doctors I have needed. I urge anyone seeking a medical doctor call and use Doctor Wine.

Expect to have a long wait to see this doctor. I had the first apt. in the morning so I could get to work: 8:30 a.m. Nurse took my vitals at 8:30 and left the exam room. 9:10 and NO one has come into the room. I walk out to see what was going on, went back and got my coat and purse and was going to leave. Then in walks Dr. Wine, NO apologies for being late, there was an emergency. I do understand that totally. For your next patient, please check back with people that are in the 'waiting loop' to let them know what is up; or so they can re-schedule. People have lives as well and schedules. I will stay with my Scripps doctor

Well it's 2018 and I can't stop raving about Dr Wine. He is one of the best doctors I have found in years. Having been new in the area, I had no idea who to go to. He's so caring, follows thru on anything he or his staff needs to do. Refers to high caliber doctors that he would us. Honest in his discussions, reviews what's been done since last visit, has a calm demeanor and a sense of humor, he explains why he think something needs to be done (from treatment - be it over the counter or RX needed, immunizations etc). Rikki usually answers the phone and very accommodating. Ann is his nurse who ROCKS.....the vibe in the office is positive along with treating patients with smiles, acknowledgements when arriving and full customer service. I haven't had any issues/problems with anyone here. While in the Desert, there was no such thing as customer courtesy or service. My sister and brother in law have now joined the practice and are thrilled about my recommendation. I couldn't be happier and feel like I have my medical well being in check.

wow I think I struck gold when I found Dr Wine located in North County Internal Medicine off Hwy 78. New in area. This office staff is very professional, warm and friendly. Dr Wine spent quite abit of time going over my medical history, ordered a few tests I hadn't had in awhile, helped getting my pre op for surgery. Ann , his nurse, was a delight to work with. Rikki, the receptionist, pleasant. He followed up with a personal call to review my lab results. It's been years that I felt a doctor actually was listening and caring about me as his patient. He's straight forward with his information and I walked out feeling like I was in good hands. I have recommended him to several neighbors. I couldn't be happier with Dr Wine or his staff to begin a long relationship.

Very kind and competent physician. He is no nonsense yet pleasant and dependable. I highly recommend him.

Dr Wine has been our doctor for 26 years. He always has time to talk with us about any physical problems and detailed in his exams. Excellent follow up by himself or his nurse. We like that he refers us to a specialist when necessary.

Very knowledgeable, courteous, does great work! Couldn't ask for a better doctor.

I couldnt ask for a better doctor that follows up, returns phone calls, etc.
