I've been seeing Dr. Leoni since before she had her own office. She's professional, listens, discusses your concerns with you & schedules any necessary tests quickly. Last year I had a concerning health issue. She got me into her office quickly & referred me to a specialist. When I told her the specialist couldn't see me for almost a month, she contacted them & I was seen in just a few days. She is a rare doctor who takes her time during your visits to make sure all your questions are answered. It can take time to schedule regular exams, but she's the only doctor in her office. I trust Dr. Leoni with my family's health & have for years.
Dr. Regina Leoni has very good bedside manner, but that's unfortunately about it. I'm coming up on my 20th (!!) year of having Dr. Leoni as my primary care physician, and i've officially reached my breaking point with her lack of effort in looking into why things are happening within a persons body. The tests are performed incorrectly, dr leoni will come in to tell you you're fine, and even when you tell her that whatever you're suffering with is absolutely debilitating, she will shrug and say "Well the tests say you're fine!" When the tests were done incorrectly in the first place. Everyone in the office, including Dr Leoni herself, are incredibly kind. But when a patient comes to a doctor practically begging for some sort of help and they're essentially shrugged off and told to go pick up something OTC that won't work, it becomes a problem.
I love my doctor. I was a patient years ago and moved away so when I moved back I didn't realize that I could go back as her patient. Dr Leoni isn't taking new patients so I was surprised to find out I could come back.
I will start by I never do reviews but this review will be worth your time. Miss Regina Leoni (I will not refer to her as doctor as she lost all credibility when she got in my face and harassed me). I have never come into contact with a more purposeful and evil woman. She called me into the office to ask me about why I was sick and then began to blame me that I was trying to come in and try to see her for something else. Her reasoning for why she brought me in after hours in still unclear. She sat me in a corner and started harassing me asking if I am here for my car accident. Long story short I was in a car accident a month prior and she , I think, thought I was there for that. Either way it didn't make sense. She started getting rough around the edges and asking me what I am really for. I said idk you called me in. She then proceeded to get in my face which is then where I pulled out my phone to record. I told her not to ever get in my face and she said oh does that scare you. Before I could respond she stood up over me where then I stood up and asked if she was okay. She kicked me out of the office and took my copay without a refund. I have skipped many details that are not as important. But the important thing to note is this: do not go here and if you do be on high alert , have someone accompany you or have your phone ready. She knew exactly what she was doing when she called me in and had me in a room with her alone. Not only was this highly planned out, it was vindictive , and disgusting behavior for anyone, especially for a health care provider who I am suppose to trust with my body and medical records.
My mother and sister selected Dr. Leoni as their general practitioner in 2021. In early April, my mother complained of a potential UTI. Given her wheelchair status and the fact the doctor's office was working on limited office hours, we requested a Quest lab order. We were instructed to come in. We tried to schedule but her office was closed mostly. We went back and forth and things got tense. I asked if I could pay the office fee as my mom couldn't make the dates. Finally, we were scheduled on 4/26. Unfortunately, a rude office manager called and cancelled the appointment as we were on our way to the appointment. The manager said, "Tell your mother that it's your fault that she is no longer welcome here.... you're rude and you can't come to this office." I wrote an email - asking the doctor to reconsidered. I apologized for my "perceived disrespect" all to get my mother help. The email was ignored. Two weeks later, my mother suffered a massive stroke. The hospital confirmed she had a UTI. She passed away 12 days later. Dr. Leoni: Shame on you! Shame on your staff. All of the nonsense at your office could've been avoided if someone had just listened. Your office manager was condescending and triggering. I was being an advocate for my mother. She trusted you. Your manager hung up on her and talked over both of us. Someone from your office actually refused to help a 78 year old woman in a wheel chair because their feelings were hurt! SHAME ON YOU! Yelp Family: FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. LEONI HIDES BEHIND HER HORRIBLE STAFF. There's no accountability.
I don't think I've ever written a review here on yelp but I want people to know, if you can go else where please do! I use to go to Caring Family Medicine years ago because my mom went there, but as I got older I started to realize how extremely incompetent the practice was. When I become an adult and started receiving my own insurance, I quickly changed practices! Fast forward to this week, I needed to go in to see a doctor quick because I developed a chalazion on my left eye and in order to see a specialist to get it removed, I needed a recommendation from a doctor. My regular doctor wasn't available so I decided to give Caring Family Medicine a call as it was the last practice I went to before finding my current Dr.... but quickly I remembered why I stopped going here in the first place! I called Wednesday afternoon to see how soon I could get an appointment and explained to them what was going on, the lady I talked to that afternoon was very sweet and told me to call at 8:30 the next morning to get a same day appointment. I set an alarm for 8:25 AM for the next morning (I work nights so I'm not a morning person) but unfortunately, fell right back asleep, and didn't wake up back up until 9. When I called to see if they still had any available appointments for the day she said I had missed the same day appointment window, but took down my information and said she would talk to the doctor to see if they could squeeze me in. I never heard anything from them that day, so figured they didn't have any appointments, which would have been my fault because I missed the availability window. So I figured I would call again today, so I set my alarm for eight so that way I would be up this time to call right at 8:30. So I called at 8:30 and the phone was busy for about 10 minutes, I called several times and finally got through. When I finally got through I was put on hold, yet again for about five minutes. When someone finally came to the line I asked if there was any more appointments available for today. She asked me what I was coming in for, so again I told them what it is that I needed, even though I felt that because I called the past two days and my information was already taken down TWICE, I shouldn't have had to repeat it yet again however, I did and she put me on hold once again. When she came back on the line she continued to ask me further about what I needed to come in for. I started to get a little frustrated because I wanted to know if there was an available appointment for me to come into today or not and then I could explain the situation to the actual doctor or nurse practitioner when I came in. Whoever was helping me must've sensed the frustration in my voice because then she started to become a little rude. I assured her that it wasn't her I was frustrated with her, just the situation and I wanted to know if there was available appointments or not. She then told me that she would have to speak to the doctor first in order to see if I could come in, I was a little confused by this because I was told on Wednesday that if I called at 8:30 I could come in same day, so I wasn't sure why she needed to speak to the doctor to see if it was OK for me to come in. She rudely explained that she needed to speak to the doctor to see if they could squeeze me in, even though I called at the appropriate time. So if you do decide to come to this practice just know that they may or may not allow you to come in same day, depending on if the Dr. feels like taking your appointment, regardless if you call at the appropriate time or not. After hanging up with the practice, with still no appointment, I decided to look for other doctors and found one that took me within the hour. I heard back from Caring Family Medicine about an hour later where the woman explained to me that she talked to the doctor and the doctor wanted to see me for a regular appointment because they haven't seen me since 2017. If I wouldn't have found another doctor to see me I would have been very upset with this as I needed the problem with my eye taken care of the urgency for this was completely ignored by the Dr. and the practice. I will never be returning here again, and if you can help it I would suggest you to find elsewhere to go. I hate to write a review like this because I don't believe in bad mouthing a company for one mistake, however, this seems like a reoccurring theme with them.
Came here for a flu shot, made the appointment weeks in advance, scheduled at 3:30 PM, arrived at 3:25 PM, got in the exam room at 4:35 PM, and still waiting for the nurse and doctor to see me first before given the flu shot !!!! Soooo ridicules and wasting my time to wait just for a flu shot !!!! Finally got the flu shot at 5 PM !! If the patient was scheduled at a certain time, Do not give the time slot to other patient or walk in patient ? We have to go back to work too !!!
Worst health care experience ever. If you call, you WILL be placed on a long hold. If you need an appointment, book months in advanced. I called in back in June for a physical and got an appointment in mid September. If you need radiology or labs the receptionists will tell you "I'll get back to you about that once I speak to the doctor". You'll be waiting at least a couple days to hear anything back. And if you need a call back regarding any questions, don't hold your breathe. (super unfriendly staff too). I've been going to this clinic for about two years now and it's always the same incompetent mess. I've just recently switched, and I'm SO much happier with my new place, none of those issues exists where I'm at now.
Sadly.. I need to say this is by far the worst medical office .. Only 1 Dr and 1 Nurse practitioner.. you can't make appointments you need to wait .. I booked this appt in January for today .. my appt was at 11 am and it's now 12:34 and yet nothing .. i so busy at work but due to the need of seeing my Dr i rearranged my entire day and child care .. the Dr is very good but all the rest is horrible.. i called 3 times to get a refill on rx and the staff says the Dr will take care of it and yet nothing !! And they also told me that today's Visit Can only be for 1 item .. I am like I been waiting for several months I have a couple of things to discuss with her but they said no to make appointment on my way out but FYI we are booked until November 2019 !!!! Omg and I have a ppo your would think they would take care of me as my insurance pays better fees then an hmo or medical /Medicare ... wow !! I'm going to walk out as I got to go !!!!
