After 18 mos. of debiliting coccyx pain made it impossible for me to sit, I saw Dr. Limonadi who looked at my MRI and told me to go home and take tylenol. "Your pain might go away" he said. When I saw a neurosurgeon in Los Angeles I was told my coccyx was fractured. Due to the extent of the fracture I had to have my coccyx removed.
Dr. Limonadi is more than an extremely competent neurosurgeon, he is a caring human being with an excellent bedside manner. If he hadn't been on my husband's medical care team, I doubt that my husband would have survived his two craniotomies. Doctors like him are rare, I have come to learn.
I called these people to tell them I might be 5 minutes late (which I ended up being) and they called back and cancelled my appt. I did not receive their call and they did it without talking to me. What a group of inconsiderate office people. I wouldn't go near their office again. I have never run into such rude people in any other practice.
Not only a skilled surgeon but a kind person.
My husband three years ago was in serious pain and losing weight because he couldn’t eat or drink due to severe trigeminal neuralgia. This doctor doesn’t care about the patient’s condition and when we tried to see him with the results of the MRI, he said we were wasting his time. He would not even discuss my husband’s condition until he saw a local neurologist even though he was under the care of his neurologist in Seattle. That said the pain and weight loss didn’t give us time to meet this doctor’s excuse to cover his you know what. We took the MRI and two days were at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida to see the top neurosurgeon in the country. He quickly did the surgery without problems or difficulty and actually saved my husband’s life. I would never ever consider this doctor in a million years. He has no compassion and could care less about his patient’s condition. Stay away from him.
If only there was an option for zero stars! Avoid this doctor at all costs. My aged mother was literally bed-bound with a spinal condition that required surgical intervention. After waiting a month for "Dr." Limonadi's next available appointment, the office called saying they had to reschedule for another month into the future! My mother, in tears, explained her situation and the office manager told her to go to the emergency room and that "maybe they could help her". Great idea; send an 86-year old woman with health issues to an emergency room during the height of the Covid pandemic. Thankfully, we were able to find a leading neurosurgeon in Los Angeles who showed understanding and compassion and was able to operate on her with ten days of their first meeting. Dr. Limonadi and his staff should be ashamed of the way they treat patients. I'd send a loved one to a vet before this doctor!
Worst medical experience in my life. I had an appt on Sept.3 rd had tests ordered & completed in Oct. . Follow up appt given was for NOV 24 th. I placed 5 calls to his nurse to question why appt was so long after tests appt. etc. I never received a call back. I then called the manager of their Neuroscience institute, ( another joke) she said she would see what she could do & told me I had to schedule an appt with another Dr. for a foot test? I never received another call back. When you go to a doctor for back pain & it takes 3 months to get a follow up. What is that all about. This Doctor is not some world renowned expect. I have since gone to another physician & had my test analysis done. Do yourself a favor & don’t deal with these people. Don’t think it’s not the doctors fault as these people work for him & when his manager cannot pay you the courtesy of a call back it’s pretty bad. I have lived in the desert for 14 years, never had such a crazy terrible medical experience. They are awful zero stars.
WRECKLESS, BE CAUTIOUSHe made a surgery suggestion based on MRI images. For the major neurosurgery that he was recommending, I was surprised he didn't ask to see CT scans. We left his office feeling scared and rushed into surgery we didn't know too much about. That is NOT how you want to feel. We sought another opinion from another neurosurgeon (who requested a CT scan for accurate diagnosis) and he diagnosed my father with a condition that Dr. Limonadi did not see. Long story short: if we went the surgery route that Dr. Limonadi recommended, he would have risked tearing the cerebrospinal fluid. If you leave a doctor's office feeling scared rather than reassured, that's a BAD SIGN!! It was very dangerous for him to give a consult without asking for additional images to back up his suggestion. This is a matter of life and death!!If your gut tells you to seek another opinion, DO IT!!
Came in to ER with horrible neck, shoulder and arm pain. Thought it was a pinched nerve. Dr lemonade diagnosed guickly and operated the next day. If I had not listened to his advice, the consensus was I would have probably been paralyzed the next hard bump I took. Very precise and proficient!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
