Yesterday (November 28, 2023), I had a regular follow-up appointment with Dr. Broska (every six months). I went to Dr. Broska the first time in 2017 to check on some things that concerned me and I received the MOHS treatment for an area on my right earlobe. I have had various other things that have "shown up" and fortunately, they have all been treatable and she has taken excellent care of me! In my twenties, thirties and forties, I was in the sun a great deal - out on the ocean, deep sea fishing - or in the desert, working in my garden - and just generally not using any sunscreen, not wearing a hat, sleeveless much of the time - it felt good to be in the sun! So I am glad I found Dr. Broska who has been keeping tabs on me. I want to mention today what a pleasure it is to visit the offices of Dr. Broska at West Dermatology. The staff there are always so nice and efficient; it is a very nice atmosphere of quiet professionalism . . . there is a tv you can watch in one area but everything is pleasantly serene. Also, Dr. Broska has the most immaculate and pristine offices, everything from floors to counters to furniture and the picture frames is so immaculate. The cleanliness inspires confidence that the doctor and her assistants care about everything being 100% good for the patient. No dust bunnies! Plus, everything is so cheerful, to help put you in a better frame of mind, to think about something lovely. Her paintings and other artwork placed around the offices are so pretty and interesting - it makes for something else to think about rather than fixating on worrisome things. Thank you again, Dr. Broska and staff, for helping me to stay well . . . and for making it a pleasure, actually, to go to your office!

ON AUGUST 8TH @1:45 PM, I HAD AN APPOINMENT WITH WEST DERMATOLOGY. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE PALM DESERT LOCATION FOR MANY YEARS. ALWAYS HAD DR. BROSKA AT MY APPOINMENTS. I WAS TAKEN TO A ROOM AND 2 ASSOCIATES WERE THERE. THIS TIME ANOTHER WOMAN CAME IN TO THE ROOM, I HAD NO IDEA WHO SHE WAS, SHE DID NOT SAY A WORD, DID NOT INTRODUCE HERSELF, LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS DISGUSTING, JUST STARTED EXAMING MY ARMS AND FACE. SHE THEN USED HER MACHINE AND FROZE A LOT OF SPOTS ON MY ARMS AND COUPLE ON MY FACE. AFTER I GOT HOME, I DISCOVERED SHE MISSED A COUPLE PLACES ON MY FACE. SHE DID NOT LOOK AT MY LEGS, WHICH ALSO HAVE A FEW SPOTS THAT NEED LOOKED AT. I AM THOUROLY UPSET OVER THIS APPOINTMENT AND, THIS WOMAN, WHO EVER SHE IS. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY I COUND SEND A MESSAGE DIRECTLY TO DR. BROSKA. HELEN DUNN

It took them 8 weeks to diagnose Basil cell carcinoma and get me in for Mohr’s surgery on my face. I ended up with a hole on my right cheek the size of a dime. Then she let a PA stitch it up. Terrible job on closing the wound, Terrible instructions for post surgical care. They were going to have the medical assistant take the stitches out instead of the PA who I had made an appointment to see. The medical assistant is the person who walks you to your room and takes your blood pressure. Yes, they find the least qualified person to do the critical work on your face.

No respect for patients time. Showed up early for my appointment, asked if doctor was running on time and was told she was. An hour later…. I left without being seen by the doctor. Not an anomaly, my wife, who is a physician, waited more than an hour for her appointment as well on another day.

I just had my First Dermatology check for a spot on my nose. Saw Diana Garza, PA-C. She was very kind, through and explained everything. Including what would and would not be covered by Ins. I decided to get a full body skin check. She gave me choices . Nothing needed to be done. Just watched. Will definitely return here as needed. Her Assistant Maria was very nice as well.
