Robert Simon's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Simon is incompetent and uncaring. His staff is by far the rudest I have ever encountered.

Very uninvolved. Pushing paper for the insurance company maybe but certainly not providing healthcare. Didn't take the time to look at my post- surgery wound. I ended up in an emergency room the next day. Dangerously negligent.

My doctor since I was a child, best there is at what he does. Would strongly recommend.

The first time I met with Dr. Robert I informed him that I have had asthma my entire life and needed to get a new emergency inhaler and would like to explore my options for preventative treatment (I used to take Advair - so something along those lines). Without checking me at all, he told me my breathing problems are probably not asthma and would get better over time.The second time I met him, I went in because my eye-lid had been twitching for about 9 weeks. I figured it wasn't that big of a deal, but after looking online it was suggested to see a doctor if the twitching continues past 7 weeks. I went in and, without even looking at my eye at all, says "it's nothing and will heal itself on its own over time. If you want, I can go online and see if there's a faster way to make it go away." Paid someone to do a google search for me, not cool. I'm sure he's right and I'm sure it is nothing, but give the peace of mind and at least take a look at the thing that's bothering me, right?"UPDATE - I went and saw another doctor, Dr. Maria Scremin from Cedars-Sinai, regarding my eyelid twitch (the twitch had continued for another month). She actually looked at it and gave me practical reasons for what the cause could be (without having to look it up on Google). Gave me a list of things that could help me, drew some blood to run some tests just in case, and scheduled me a follow-up appointment in a few weeks. Again, "Dr." Robert, without looking at my eye, told me I was fine - for the same price. Right after my new doctor renewed my life-long prescription for an emergency inhaler, I mentioned to her that "Dr." Robert had told me that I don't have asthma. She could do nothing but laugh in disbelieve.Seriously - if you have the option to go to a different doctor - do that! Don't even bother with this guy.

Dr. Simon is a compassionate Doctor and no matter what your symptoms are he will see you. He sees many of my friends, too.

I had a great experience with Dr Simon. He put me at ease and the procedure was virtually painless. I highly recommend him.

This doctor never wants to see me. I have gone to him 3 or 4 times in the last year and each time he thinks there is nothing wrong. One time, I had a weird feeling in my left side that wouldn't go away. He said there is nothing there to get a pain from. I called a specialist and they found I had an ulcer in the left part of my stomach. I went in there another time and instead of helping me, he prescribed me anti-anxiety medicine for some reason. He said I would enjoy life better. That doesn't even make sense...I called to go in because I have a cough that wouldn't go away after 3 days and he prescribes me cough medicine over the phone without even wanting to check me out. I told them my throat was a little swollen while I was literally coughing on the phone. I don't understand how this guy operates.

Wish I could give a ZERO stars! I work in the medical field and hate going to the doctor so I only go when I feel its absolutely necessary. I've gone to Dr. Robert for the past 4 years now and every time I go, which has maybe been a total of 3-4 times, he has been a waste of time. He is a very nice man and his staff has always been very nice, but overall just a waste of time. If I'm not waiting over an hour to be seen, when I have an appointment, then its him telling me "there is nothing wrong with me," which, I think I know my body better than you do, so if I actually took the time out of my day to spend sitting in a doctors office, then maybe there just might be something actually wrong! The other day I waited an hour and a half for him to just give me a blood test that he didn't even do himself. The nurse did it, which she could have done when I first got there!! Needless to say, I switched PCP's and will no longer be going to waste my time!

The doctor doesn't seem to care about actually trying to find out what's wrong with you. He just wants to send you on the way as if there is nothing wrong, as if his opinion is better than an x-ray or ultrasound machine. Nor does he want to the second opinion from another physician

I feel so blessed to have had the chance to meet Dr Simon. He is the most compassionate, honest, and caring dr I have had in my life. He took his time and asked all the relevant questions during my first visit. He is truly a blessing. I live 2 miles from his office and will be a lifetime patient.
