I just had knee surgery here today by the wonderful Dr Schwartz. The facility was extremely sterile! The process flowed so smoothly from beginning to end. The staff were super friendly and even put up with my bad jokes. They were compassionate and very accommodating to my sensitive needs as well. I highly recommend having your outpatient surgery scheduled here over the hospital for sure!!
The surgery center itself is outstanding! Staff is great and friendly! Can't say the same for their accounting department!! Over charged 145 bucks been trying to get refund since February!! They confirm they owe it promises made but empty words and calls not returned until grievance filed. Promised 48hour confirmation that payment was processed...no call received 3 days later...next step medical board!
My 17 year old son has had two right shoulder labral repairs within one year of each other from Dr. Schillen. (football) I am a very protective mama but, I trust and couldn't be happier with the care and the level of compassion received from Dr. Schillen and the entire staff at Apogee Surgery Center. My son really appreciated the fact that the nurses cared about him so much and the level of compassion they gave him. He told me the nurses are "so nice and pretty" :) Apogee Surgery Center truly helped make these experiences a lot easier for us to go through. Thank you all for being so amazing!!
Extremely rude and condescending receptionist. When I asked her for her name, she hung up the phone.
My husband had a full knee replacement yesterday at Apogee Surgery Center. Couldn't have asked for better care! Jeannie, Stephanie, Chelsea and others were so caring and kind. They are wonderful and make you feel comfortable and at ease. Thank you ladies for your great care!
I was very impressed with this surgical center. They are using all precautions against the covid virus. Making sure that whomever is there to pick you up or has come in with you, they pre-scan your ride share person. After the procedure, the doctor was there to answer all of our questions. No playing '' wait for the doctor " here. The surgeon is right there. The staff is incredibly friendly. They take they're job very seriously. And want you to have the best, safest experience possible in their care.
From the minute I walked in that door until the last minute that I was rolled out. I have to say I felt like I was important. .everybody was so caring they explained everything that they did. The registration woman. The nurses. Are all amazing. The anesthesia Dr. Told me everything he was doing. And of course Dr. Schillen. Thank you all.
My doctor wanted me to have my knee replaced at Apogee outpatient, I sent all of my paperwork in that was requested, and a surgery date was set. My wife got a little worried because Apogee doesn't have 24 hr care ( everyone we know that has had a knee replaced had to spend the night in the hospital), my wife called Apogee and asked about the 24 hr stay to make sure I was able to walk 100 ft, the woman said they can keep me 23 hrs only, my wife says do you realize he is 73 and lives 2 hrs away, there was a pause and she said that she didn't look at my age or address. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE
This surgery center sent me to collections after billing my secondary insurance over and over and over for months, despite me (and the VA)informing them numerous times the correct primary insurance to bill. Never returned any of my calls or emails, or calls from my doctor that referred me from the Veteran’s hospital. What a way to treat a patient. Didn’t even receive a final notice on the bill. Clearly scamming patients to rake in money from collections instead of appropriately billing insurance and being paid lowers negotiated contract rates for services.
First time experience at a surgery center today. Lots of nice people working there. Plenty of phone, e-mail and mail reminders ahead of time and an electronic registration/medical evaluation system that they actually reference and use to make medical decisions the day of the operation. The anesthesiologist was great and apparently either Dr. Schilling or Apogee lets you stay awake during their procedures. Nice for two reasons, I could speak with the surgeon during the operation to understand and participate in the medical decisions and secondarily I don't do well with general anesthesia/recovery and I got to skip all of that mess. Another plus was that my wife couldn't make a silly video of me waking up and saying stupid things.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
