List of Than Aung's Reviews
My mother has been seeing Dr. Aung for several years and he has seen her through many issues. He is a very good diagnostician. Several years ago another doctor performed surgery on her and at her follow-up a week later complained there was a problem. He explained he was the doctor and didn't make mistakes. The pain was normal. Two days later she had a previously scheduled appointment with Dr. Aung on a different issue. She explained the pain and he sent her for tests immediately. Before she had even made it home from the tests, Dr. Aung called and sent her to the ER. There wasn't complete closure from the surgery and bile was getting into her stomach. (NOTE: the surgeon didn't catch it!!) Dr. Aung saved her from who knows what. It was a multiple-month recovery as it was. He is a very caring man who's patients are not just numbers!
My husband and I are so grateful to have Dr. Aung as our primary care physician. He has taken excellent care of us for about 8 years and has always been very thorough and efficient. He puts us at ease with his pleasant personality and we always know that he gives us the very best care.Dr. Aung is awesome!
The billing lady Stephanie is quite possible the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She was screaming at my husband and myself over billing issues related to our workmen’s comp claim. I have never had anyone tell me that I’m not allowed to talk to their office manager when I requested a manager. This was hands down the worst customer service we have ever received.
Dr. Aung accepted my dad as a patient with advanced Alzheimer's disease years ago. Just an amazing doctor, calm and patient with my dad. Dad passed away 5 years ago and I want to express my sincere appreciation for his care and kindness.
My husband and I moved here upon retiring and were referred to Dr. Aung. We had to fill out an application and were told we would be contacted shortly. Over three weeks and two calls later, I was told that our application had not been reviewed yet and it would be awhile before this would be done and furthermore, even if we were accepted as patients---we would not be seen until October! (It is now May). This office only sees a couple of new patients a week, but current patients can obtain an appointment whenever they need it. Ridiculous!!
Great doctor!Dr Aung has been my doctor for many years now. He has helped me through the many changes that I have had growing older.
I don't think anyone is perfect, but Dr. Aung sure comes close. He is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough with a charming personality. He is truly a treasure to be found among doctors in Redding. He is the only truly dedicated doctor I have encountered in this community--he doesn't pick and choose his patients, he simply serves everyone with the same level of care as one who is a dedicated physician. And his staff are the most genuine, knowledgeable and responsive.
Dr. Aung has been a valued part of my healthcare as well as that of my parents. I am sad to part ways with his care. I needed a specific diagnosis for my mom entering assisted living and a report that had never been shared with the family, from several years ago, surfaced, and became a prohibitive factor to his diagnosis on the PR. I am understanding of this fact but the neurologist who wrote that report now has a permanently closed office and was associated with Dr. Rabee, who now sits in jail. This is no connection to Dr. Aung, I just do not value that report and and have no confidence in it.Oddly, the phone message left by Tiesha, stated that Dr. Aung said, “you’re more than welcome to take your mom and yourself and find a new doctor “. It has always been Dr. Aung’s office that has been less than complementary to his practice. I said nothing in my conversation this morning when leaving off the paperwork for signatures, that I was changing physicans for myself. That was a unwarranted assumption.Dr. Aung, himself, is professional, and a good physican, thrown into an ever changing medical profession that forces good doctors to see so many patients that the rapport becomes over taxed.Thank you Dr. Aung for your many years of good practice.Patricia Lenahan
Dr. AUNG is thorough and professional. He is an amazing doctor and has a great sense of humor! We are very fortunate to have found him!
Of course Dr. Aung is 5 Stars! He's the best. That guy has a photographic memory. And he keeps great notes and is super fast at typing them into his computer. Dr. Aung knew me after one visit. It's so refreshing not to have to keep identifying myself to a doctor because he sees so many patients. I use to feel like my doctors never knew me. Dr. Aung know me very well. That guy is extremely smart and EXCELLENT at what he does. I'm so lucky to have him as my doctor!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
