I had an ectopic pregnancy last year that burst and required surgery at 7 weeks. I recently became pregnant again and went into Shasta Community Maternity Center to start ruling out another ectopic (they’re likely to occur again) and was completely dismissed by one doctor who said they can’t do anything at all until I’m 7 weeks (which was when my last burst!). I was so upset and two days later I called again and they were able to get me an appt with Dr. Perry. This amazing man listened to me. He didn’t dismiss me, he took my high risk pregnancy history seriously and immediately did something about it. He went above and beyond, even calling me after hours, and calling the OB in the ER while he was seeing me to make sure I was okay at 8:30 pm. This is an amazing doctor right here and I am so sad that he’s semi retired, because Redding needs more great doctors like him.

Most uncomfortable I've ever felt with a provider regarding any pregnancy I have had. When he came in, he was short, agitated, didn't care about my concerns, wasn't willing to write me notes for either travel before 36 weeks or to be exempt from activities that have been worsening my health issues (which makes sense as he didn't care to heed what was in my file and what I said etc).

He is very polite, gentle, thorough & up to date. He did my hysterectomy & the entire process was amazing & add pain free as possible.
