Dr. Marais took care of my Mother for over 20 years. It was God’s intervention that we were assigned to him after my Mother’s massive stroke. He believed she could beat the odds and she did. We will be eternally grateful to Dr. Marais. Sincerely The Barron- Haro, Loughlin, and Rivera families

Years ago he literally saved my life by correctly diagnosing what was wrong...a team of doctors were stumped, but he put all the pieces together. He's also just a great human being.

The finest doctor I have ever had. I am talking about a doctor, in general, who cares and gets to know his patients. For me, Dr. Marais was more of a primary physician than a cardiologist because he went beyond his specialty to understand me as a patient entirely - and I felt a friend. It is a huge loss to Beaver Medical Group that he is retiring but he certainly has earned his retirement as well as the respect of his patients who will feel his absence greatly. Thank you, Dr. Marais.

What a terrific human being and Doctor. Like one of the family. Very careful and gentle. Takes his time with his patients. Saved my life a couple of times. Added defibulator and pacemaker. It was like he knew what could be coming. Have never had a better doctor. Miss him greatly!!

Dr. Marais is quite simply the best of the best as a cardiologist and individual. I have personally known him for nearly 25 years and because of his expertise and care, gave my Dad an extra 20 plus years of life past his first experience with Dr Marais in his early 70's. He was so respected by my Dad and his care was always above and beyond what the most discerning patient would expect from their physician. His skill is unparallelled and he treats each patient as if they are his only one. A++
