Dr. Ronald Shiell did a great job! He is a specialist at removing skin cancer and he does dozens of these procedures daily. He is thorough, efficient and has a excellent bedside manner.

Squamous cell carcinoma on my ear, Dr. Shiell and his staff were very attentive and thorough, while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. I felt very informed and confident that I had gone to the right doctor. Dr. Shiell sutured my wound, as would have also been my preference. All in all, my experience with this doctor was way better than with most! I highly recommend Dr. Shiell and West Dermatology.

My first skin cancer surgery was done by a plastic surgeon, and I was very pleased with the outcome -- very little scarring and no bumps. Dr Shiell did my second and third surgeries, and in both cases the stitching was very sloppy in comparison. I had bumps, flaps, and a pit (yeah I had a lot of places done) and one of the nostrils collapsed. I feel like I'm now permanently ugly.

I like Dr. Shiell, however I went for a follow up from 2 minor procedures and he never looked at the areas he did the procedure to see if they were healing right. He checked my face and arms, and froze two spots, and then I thought he was going to check my back to see if the 2 areas healed correctly, but was already gone out of the room. I had to pay $40.00, but a follow up should be no charge, and then I missed two hours of work as I the latest appt. you can get is 3:30. Like I said, I still like Dr. Shiell, but maybe take a few extra minutes to look at the patient's chart to see why they are there.

my experience was really good, loved how easy and fast checking in and out was. Medical Assistants were so nice and helpful. Dr. Shiell was so pleasant and attentive. Really liked how he took his time and answered all my questions.

I have been going to West Dermatology for many years now. I have always liked Dr. Shiell and have stayed because of him; even when the level of service from the office staff was poor. I am happy to say that the service level from the staff has improved greatly over the last year.
