Beware if you decide to use this clinic. I went there at two different occasions and had two very bad experiences: - My first visit was for my annual in September. I saw a nurse and a doctor. They did the typical blood test and asked me general questions about my health and medication while checking my vitals. Then they asked about concerns or anything else they should know about. Little did I know, I should not have answered! When I received the bill, I found out that I had been billed twice: one for the annual (covered by my insurance) and a second time for "Doctor Visit Level IV" billed more than a $1,000! It turns out that opening up on health concerns triggered the billing of an additional visit outside the scope of the annual! Aren't we supposed to talk about health during an annual? Also, no additional tests were made besides regular blood draw. Just a nice little and expensive conversation! The additional visit supposedly lasted more than 45 min. Considering that I spent less than that in the office overall, this is just a joke! Cherry on top of the cake, that second visit is not 100% covered of course...so much for a free annual visit! Avoid this clinic!!! - My second try was a couple weeks ago when I went in for an emergency. I saw NP Nicole Sanchez for a pain in my left flank. One urine test later, "not a kidney issue, must be sciatica". Despite the fact that I know how a pinched nerve feels and that I mentioned multiple times that it felt completely different and a pain like I never experienced before, I was sent home with some patches to buy to calm the pain ($100 out of pocket!). In the evening of the same day, I ended up in the ER, diagnosed with kidney stones (not a kidney issue you said?). Very poor service and diagnostic by NP Sanchez! Now I have to pay this visit at UCLA, the useless patches, and an ER trip. All of that could have been avoided with decent service and a minimum of testing. Again, avoid this clinic. A complaint was filled a week ago...still waiting to hear something back!! To UCLA Health customer experience, DO NOT bother answering this review with an automatic feedback form, REACH OUT to me and make up for your incompetence.
