The Stanford Clinics here aren't just Digestive Health. I saw my orthopedic spine doctor. But I have found Stanford doctors and staff to be top notch.
Horrible experience. Called them a million times to schedule a return visit & remind the doctor to send me a message online; neither happened so far. It was so bad that I felt the need to write my first google review just to give them a one star. Avoid at all costs if possible.
Excellent services. Social distancing maintained.
My father who is 85 years old, with severe hearing impairment and has multiple chronic health problems had an New Pt. in-person GI appointment yesterday for an evaluation of delayed gastric emptying. WE got there 30 min before our appointment and were screened for COVID-19 symptoms before coming into the building, we both have no symptoms at all. I was told I couldn't come in with him due to a new policy of restricting people inside the building. I was advised the the nurse that scheduled our appointment that this was going to happen and she told me to explain the circumstances of why I needed to be present for the appointment and so I did. The screening security guard rudely said 'no and refused to allow me to speak to the front office staff, I insisted that I speak with a care team member as I am the primary caregiver for my father and know his medical history, current medical problems, etc. He went and consulted and came back down with an answer that I still could not come in with my father, I told him that this was wrong as my father wouldn't be able to explain all his medical issues to his new doctor. Long story short, they kept us waiting until 4:30pm and finally allowed me to go with him, this outpatient clinic was totally empty, there was no risk of overcrowding. The customer service here is horrible, there is no empathy or solidarity. The staff are robotized and don't seem to care about providing quality, empathetic care for a good patient experience. We understand that safety during COVID is of utmost importance but let's not forget about treating patients with dignity and respect. My father and I left around 5:45pm, he was exhausted. Bad experience
Really disappointed in this place. The doctors and NP's have little to no communication, and even after having a severe, undiagnosed illness for 9+ months - they've offered one prescription, for a medicine I've already been on. The other staff are a joy to be around.
They don’t do a good job for planning and communication. They asked you to be there 1 hour prior to the appointment time and waiting for additional minutes if not hour passed the appointment time!
Nothing but great things to say. If you have complex digestive issues, I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have been a Stanford Digestive Health patient for well over 6 years. I receive excellent care with every visit and procedure. Sarah Streett is a great doctor. My condition has improved to remission thanks to the Digestive Health department.
I would give a zero star if there was an option. I had a stomach upset for which I visited Stanford doctor Sundeep for initial consultation. I was charged $1081 for an intitial consultation. After listening to the initial consultation from the doctor I knew it was a total rip off. He gave me hundreds of test to do like endoscopy colonoscopy and what not. I was like my stomach is upset and not my life. I even got a call from the endoscopy Dept to schedule an appointment as soon as I was done with the initial consultation. I dediced not to go with them. I finally consulted a friend who referred me to a local doctor who gave me medicine and I was fine in couple of days with 100$. If I had gone with this doctor I would have been billed easily ~ $10,000 - $15,000 for the various invasive test which need anathesia. My advice stay away from them as much as you can and only go there if all the other doctors and hospitals on this planet are shut down.Remove review
Save your time and go to UCSF. This clinic is completely useless. Have cystic fibrosis and been dealing with this clinic for years now with absolutely no progress. All appointments and procedures are booked out AT LEAST 3 months in advance. That's if you are lucky enough to even receive a return call. Patients seeking help from what's suppose to be one of the best hospitals in the nation deserve better. Can't say enough horrible things about this clinic.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
