List of General Dermatology Clinic In Redwood City's Reviews
*About the front desk receptionists* This isn't easy to write -- but I think people deserve to know how patients are treated. I left this office feeling humiliated, talked down to, and like I was less than human. And the worst part is, I still have to come back. Let me be clear: this review is not about the doctors or medical team. They were respectful, and I have no issue with the care I've received. My experience was specifically with the woman at the front desk -- and it was so demeaning that I walked out feeling like I didn't matter at all. A couple of weeks prior to my appointment, I received a call letting me know that even though my chart might still say 3:00 PM, I needed to arrive at 2:30. I took that seriously and showed up early, exactly as instructed. But when I calmly told the front desk what I'd been told, I was immediately met with attitude and hostility. The woman snapped, "Well, I'm the one who schedules (Dr's name here) appointments and I didn't say that." Her tone was sharp. She rolled her eyes at me and acted like I was trying to lie or make her look bad -- when all I did was follow the directions I was given. I looked at her confused. Was I being gaslight?? I stayed calm, but the interaction got more uncomfortable. She continued to be dismissive and rude. When I walked away, I could still hear her talking about me, which was the final blow. I felt degraded. I felt gossiped about. I felt like I wasn't even a person to her. And I'm not someone who gets upset easily -- but I left there shaken. I felt completely belittled, like my voice didn't matter and like I was a problem just for trying to clarify something I was told to do. It's terrifying enough going to appointments when you have health issues. We come in vulnerable, hoping to be treated with basic dignity. What I experienced instead was humiliating. I still have to return to this office -- but I will not speak to her again. I truly hope no other patient is ever treated the way I was. This isn't just about a scheduling mix-up. It's about the way human beings treat each other. I was made to feel like garbage in a place that's supposed to help people heal. And that's not okay. Update: I was contacted by a kind and compassionate manager who apologized and said she would speak to the front desk employee. I truly appreciated her response. But the next day, I got a call saying the receptionist remembers it differently and denied the behavior. I felt dismissed all over again -- like I was being told what I experienced didn't happen. My fiancé was on the phone and heard the entire exchange. It still hurts to feel like the behavior is being excused. I worry this will keep happening to other patients. Please be careful -- no one should feel humiliated at a medical office.
His fellows and Dr Oro are in the top 1% of all time caring physicians.
Dr. Lewis is the GOAT. Excellent doctor: knowledgable, personable, engaged, straightforward, efficient, and effective. I genuinely enjoyed my visit and I strongly recommend him.
The whole support team, right from the front desk, the person, who accompanied, the nurse, who prepared / gave local anesthesia for the biopsy and of course Doctor Chen Wang are very courteous and thorough professionals - well trained and patient focused - appreciate and thank all of them. Stanford was recommended by a friend of mine for my son, who was operated for his shoulder injury and skin issues. We were very happy with his team as well. Great work by Stanford.

I had high hopes seeing the dermatology department here. After seeing FOUR different Stanford dermatologist, they still can't treat my skin issue. Isn't this place supposed to be top quality? Yet, they can't treat folliculitis. Plus, the charges are considerably higher than an out of hospital dermatologist, booked out 6 months just to see them, and communication with the actual doctor through my health app is almost nonexistent.
The care team of specialists, doctors, assistants, and nurses are awesome. Its the people at the front desk confirming/scheduling the appointments, they have major attitudes, rude, and unprofessional comments, etc.
Excellent team of professionals. Friendly, compassionate, and very knowledgeable.
Doc. Gordon Bae is very knowledgeable and very good at his job. All my concerns about skin problems he has very good explanation and always have an answer right away and very detailed explanation. He is very straightforward and helpful. He makes sure that I address all my concerns before he leaves the room and all the things we talked and procedure he did was written down and detailed in the portal. I would highly recommend Doc. Gordon Bae and will be my go to.
Stanford is the best. I always get good care from this facility.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
