Sincere and truly Cares about his Patients! He's the best!
Did surgery on my finger and did a spectacular job. VERY knowledgeable, experienced and caring. He's affiliated with Stanford Orthopedics in Redwood City, CA.
Dr. Chang came to our rescue when we were in a really bad off place with our 15 month old daughter who had terrible Accident where her fingers were torn off. Dr. Chang and his team rebuilt her tendons, nerves and bone and has given her a second lease on using that hand. We are still under his care and are very grateful for his expertise and medical interventions with our daughter.
Dr. Chang is very knowledgeable and technically accurate. I had a lacerated tendon in my finger, came in after going to the ER for stitches, and he was very attentive to the function of the finger and level of pain I had. He did not rush the removal of the stitches and made sure I understood the reasoning behind his choice not to conduct surgery on the small tendons and nerves. He did not spend a lot of time with me, just got right to the point, and there wasn't a lot of waiting time -- two sides to the same coin. I really appreciated his honesty and level of care. No complaints here.
Jim saved my hand and finger. I had a horrible finger fracture from a softball injury. Jim performed a unique and experitmental surgery that enabled me to keep full functionality and continue to enjoy sporting activities such as golf, softball and volleyball. If it hadn't been for him...my finger would have been fused into a single position and I'd no longer be able to participate in sporting activities... THANK YOU JIM!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
