Dr. Chen is late to appointments, unavailable in MyChart when you send a post-visit message, and quick to prescribe long-duration, harsh medications without first working with patients to understand the root cause of skin issues. I had a severe allergic reaction to a topical cream that Dr. Chen prescribed. I had to go to urgent care and Dr. Chen was not available to work with urgent care team to help address the issue (even though all physicians were within the Stanford system). I sent several messages which were all ignored by her. Any response I did get asked me to set up a follow up visit with her weeks away. Dr. Chen also didn't do any tests or workup to better understand the problem. It seems like she wants to see as many patients as possible in the day and solve problems through prescriptions. Not the standard of care that I would expect at Stanford.

This is for the receptionist. I called them to try to see if I could schedule a physical check after seeing some good review on Vitals. The receptionist, Jinny or Ginny, straight up yelled at me and gave me the worst attitude because I was asking questions and trying to tell her my insurance info. I thought, oh maybe this is a language thing. So I switched from English to Mandarin Chinese. Still got yelled at. WHY?!? I'm here trying to give you business. Even if you guys are busy and don't care for another new patient, there was absolutely no reason for you to yell at a potential customer.
