Dr. Chan is truly the best doctor and surgeon that I’ve ever had. I had an exceptional experience with her as my Ob-gyn; I felt safe, well informed, and respected during my pregnancy, c-section delivery of my son, and post delivery. Dr.Chan is definitely an extraordinary doctor.

I've had the pleasure of being Dr. Chan's patient for three years. As an OB, she successfully delivered my son and helped me get through the entire pregnancy and postpartum period, (which at times was harrowing and unpredictable) with a gentle and firm hand. Dr. Chan has incredible bedside manner, and is also firm when she needs to be. I am so lucky to have her as a provider.The office, Stanford Children's Health in Redwood City, is stellar. The staff, from the front desk to the nurses and assistants are organized, polite, and caring. Special shout outs to Diane and Ellie for helping me through my pregnancy and weekly NST appointments. Two weeks after I delivered, I received a hand written card from Dr. Chan and the office. I was floored that they actually took the time for such a personalized gesture. Another shout out to Dr. Liu, who is an excellent provider as well. He helped me quite a bit when Dr. Chan was out of the office.

After an awful experience with a Dr in Mountain View hospital, I’m glad I found Dr Chan. She was giving the best care possible during pregnancy, during the delivery and after. She helped me through the pregnancy and saved my baby’s life at delivery. My poor baby was moving a lot less and was having hard time during contractions and Dr Chan rushed to deliver the baby via c section. When delivered she was all blue and could hardly breathe. Dr Chan made a good call and the whole team was awesome. My recovery was great as well and I can barely see the incision scar. Hope to deliver all my babies with her. And recommend her 1000000%.

I went to Dr. Chan when I was pregnant with my second. I found her very easy to talk to, responsive to my concerns, and usually, I got into my appointments on time (which can be unusual but so helpful especially during pregnancy when you visit so often).The most important factor for me was finding a doctor who would support my decision to try a VBAC. Dr. Chan was this doctor, through and through. She successfully delivered my healthy baby girl via VBAC and I felt like she was my trusted advocate throughout the process. I also appreciated the way she treated the nurses in the hospital, she was very respectful and open to their input while still making the final decisions.She's a wonderful partner to have during your pregnancy and beyond!

I don't like leaving bad reviews on individuals, but I feel this is necessary to help other women. I have to say that I experienced the absolutely most uncomfortable, painful pap smear I've ever received from Dr. Chan. She couldn't scrap everything quickly and efficiently and had to go in with the swap another round in the same appointment. It caused a lot of bleeding, and when I asked, she said it must be my "timing" or just me. At my age, I've had pIenty of Pap smears from different doctors, and this was definitely not how it was supposed to be.

Hello ladies, Dr.Chan is the best doctor ever I met.She is very responsible,responsive and caring.I strongly recommend her.if you are thinking to have tension-less pregnancy just go for her.

Really like Dr. Chan and the office. She was kind and took the time to listen to all my concerns. I also saw her associate Dr. Lei and she too had a great demeanor. I was 20 mins late for my recent appt and they rearranged the schedule to quickly squeeze me in. Very appreciative!

I have been seeing Dr. Chan for the past few months for my first pregnancy. She is very caring, takes time to explain everything and is very good at laying out options without pushing towards a particular path.

I had a miscarriage in Aug. 2016 and I had a different doctor. For my miscarriage in August I had a d&c procedure and was in pain and meds for about a week. This was with another doctor somewhere else. 5 months later I got pregnant again and decided to look for a different doctor. I went with doctor Virginia Chan, and omg do I love her! My husband and I felt so conferrable since day one. I unfortunately had another miscarriage 2 weeks after I found out I was pregnant. Dr.Chan was great in giving me options, and let me know we would do what we can do know what happened. I had a d&c with her at her office yesterday and may I say it's been a great procedure experience. Loosing my baby is hard but having Dr. Chan and Tracy my nurse was great. They made me feel cared for and made sure I was ok the whole time. It's the day after and my bleeding has stopped, I never had to take pain meds and I feel good. I will continue to go to her to and hopefully get pregnant again and make it successful! I highly recommend Dr. Chan.
