I can’t understand some of these negative reviews. The assisting staff is excellent—very empathetic and helpful. Dr. Lashgari removed skin cancer on my face.—his work was skillful, and exacting. I have virtually no scar! Also I was impressed with the pleasant interaction between doctor and staff— I have no intention of seeing anyone else and highly recommend Dr. Lashgari.

Rude. They rescheduled my appointment a month out, and then when I was late (mostly because I was made to wait in line forever), he turned me away from an appointment and made me go home, after I rearranged my schedule to be there. There are other dermatologists in ridgecrest.

This is a review for Dr. Lasghari's practice in Ridgecrest, CA. I would like to review him as a physician, however, his office is so terrible it is impossible to schedule an appointment! I had a dermatology referral to Dr. Lasghari from the clinc at NAWS China Lake. I called the number listed (760) 499-7260 last Wednesday, was asked if I could be placed on hold to which I replied "yes." Instead of placing me on hold, I was disconnected. That was the last time I was able to speak to a human being from Dr. Lashgari's office. Called again and it went to voicemail. Left a message with my work and cell phone numbers requesting to schedule an appointment. Called again on Friday, the number went to voicemail. Called again today (Tuesday) at 08:30 and 11:30 with the same result. It's 6:30pm, almost a week after I left my initial message and there has been no reply to any of my voicemails and no one has answered the phone at his office. It is a shame that the size and remote location of Ridgecrest allows a medicore/below average practice like this to survive.

Dr. Lashgari is a talented suregon. I have had 11 skin cancer operations. He did 6 of these. On a scale of 1 - 10, all of the ones done by Dr. Lashgari were 10's. Several of the procedures by other dermos were poorly done and I wish he had been available to do them. I am very sorry he left San Diego to move to Ridgecrest. They are very lucky to have someone of his caliber.

I have seen Dr Lashgari a few times and I think he is very kind respectful and a very good Doctor his staff are always very kind and helpful as well

We have been patients of Dr. Lashgari since he took over Dr Igra's practice light years ago! His Moh's surgeries show no to little scaring, he does not push cosmetic procedures unless asked and he is proactive in offering information regarding skin care treatments to usurp sun damage where applicable. We miss him greatly as he has moved from the area. no other dermatologist we have visited so far compares. They have been dreadful to say the least.

I only went for a consultation once. That will be the last time. They advertise is to do facelifts and doesn't seem to have any expertise in doing so. It's hard to get past his personality of disinterest and apathy toward the patient... I don't know how his competency is as a cosmetic Dermatological surgeon but I would not go any further I'm.

I'm fed up. Actually, I'm MORE than fed up. Fed up with insolence. Fed up with incompetence. Fed up with condescending indifference. I called Dr. Lashgari's office back tonight and told them NEVER TO CALL ME AGAIN! Why? Let me begin at the beginning.. In the past few years I used Dr. Ali Lashgari several times to remove a mole or two and hit some area's with his Nitrogen spray. Nitrogen is good for freezing "skin tags" as they are called and other small growths. Its no big deal. In my biology class we froze flowers and watch them break when dropped on the table. It works fine on certain skin areas. I had a benign skin growth or small lump under the skin of my eyelid. During one session I asked Dr. Lashgari if he could cut it out. Obviously one wouldn't hit an eyelid with nitrogen so he would have to excise it. It's called MOHS surgery. MOHS surgery is simply microscopic surgery and was pioneered by and named after Frederic E. Mohs, MD who invented it back in the late 1930's and 1940's. Dr. Lashgari had performed MOHS on me in the past so I sat quite still while he used his #11 Scalpel blade to make a small incision. He then put in micro stitches and I thanked him and left. A few days later the stitches broke and by the time I saw him again, the area had healed but left a scar. However, the past few months the area has swollen up. It looks like a blister. There is no pain and I can't tell if there is fluid under it or not. It looks ugly and I simply wanted Dr. Lashgari to work on it again. Also cut off a couple of moles which are bothering me. I called his office in April to make an appointment. At that time I clearly explained to the receptionist my eyelid problem and that I wanted him to remove a couple of moles. She told me "He only comes in on Friday's and the earliest I can book you would be in September." She offered to call me if he had a cancellation which she did yesterday (5/12/16). Even though I work nights and she knows I prefer afternoon appointments.. when she told me to be there at 11:15 a.m. I jumped on it. Then she told me it was a 10 minute appointment! I was very unhappy and let her know that there was no way in 10 minutes he could perform MOHS surgery on my eyelid and remove a couple of moles. What was he going to do? Look at them and tell me what I already know for my $30 co-pay? Why waste my time other than to earn a few $$$ on his end. I didn't tell her that but that's the impression I got. She said "let me check" and instead of putting me on hold.. hung up! This is typical of this office and his staff. Over the years just getting through to make an appointment has been extremely hard. Its incredible. And her attitude is always either indifferent or she plays the "shine 'em on" game. False sweetness. I'm sick of it. Fed up. In the past I had seen Dr. Amanda Lloyd for some dermatology work including some nitrogen freezing. She was a very nice lady. I saw her twice but on my 2nd visit I was perplexed as she didn't follow up on her prior work. I still have some minor skin problems on my leg as the nitrogen didn't completely succeed in removing them. I've had this procedure done many times and one really has to hit certain spots with nitrogen for more than a few seconds otherwise it is useless. But everything in this office feels like "get 'em in and get 'em out" as fast as possible. The money is not in nitrogen freezing of tags and other superficial dermatological work.. the money is in the various cosmetic procedures he can perform. Botox, chemical peels, Diolite laser treatments, modified face lifts, etc. Why waste time on the small stuff (like I have) when the big money is in these other "specialties." I had about 6 small "tags" I wanted frozen off. "Your insurance doesn't cover that" I was told. The cost? $150. Wow! That's about $25 a tag for about a 5 second freeze with nitrogen.. and my family doctor has done it for free. Of course I declined. I'm not cheap and I've got good insurance and cash to pay for extra service (I'm a professional business owner)... but I'm not stupid! In fact, I never over-price my services to my customers. If the price had been $50 or $60 for a treatment which wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes I would have jumped at it. And liquid nitrogen (N2) isn't that expensive. Dr. Lashgari is competent up to a point. Similarly Dr. Amanda Lloyd was competent to a point. But that's the point. I do an excellent job for my customers and I expect the same from any professional. I want quality and competence in a comprehensive manner. And, I don't want to beg a reservation clerk for some date way out in the future or have to take a useless, 10 minute look-see appointment just for my co-pay which also wastes my time which IS ALSO WORTH something. I don't know about you, but I've already scheduled with another dermatologist.
