This Doc is a straight shooter, doesn't try to take over your life but listens, explains and helps. Simple enough, but most docs don't seem to get it. Honest about the areas where medicine can't help (yes, Virginia, these do exist). Only down side is that he seems to be a Chicago Bears fan.

Not a good doctor if you are pregnant... this doctor has no heart and doesnt listen to his patients what doctor doesnt listen to his patients. Dont go to him... this is a pointless "doctor" if he can even be called that. Shame on you sir go get training on how to treat a patient. Typical ridgecrest doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Lusk for many years. He also saw my son for many years. Dr. Lusk has always been very prompt with appointments with very little wait time. He listens to my concerns and when a specialist would be a better option he suggests it. The staff has always been polite and they have always gotten me timely appointments.

Dr. Lusk seems knowledgeable and spends plenty of time with the patient, however, his staff is somewhat snotty, and you have to got to a health clinic to see him which for me was a first. I felt like I was on welfare. They check your insurance and all your co-pays before you can see him and this was my primary physician. What makes me give him a two most of all, is out of all my prescriptions, one for heartburn, that can be bought over the counter, he denied to my insurance until I make another appointment. I have several prescriptions, many of which I understand I need a visit every so often to refill, so I did not ask for refills on those. I only asked for the one that can be bought in the exact strength that over the counter comes in, but he required me to come in. But what is worse, he denied it and failed to respond to the pharmacy. Then he failed to let me know. He/his staff has no intention to let anyone know I needed an appointment, they simply ignored the request until I called in. I found a new doctor. Not because of Dr. Lusk as much as his snotty Nurse. She was very degrading. I'm not a welfare recipient miss, I make six figures a year and have a masters degree; more than is required for a nurse.
