List of Galen Huang's Reviews
Good doctor, but the bad news is his billing staff is pathetic! Medicare declined to pay thousands of dollars because it was ruled unnecessary procedures. Medicare informed us if the doctor's staff would contact Medicare, they would tell them how it must be coded. We provided all info to the doctor's staff and they refused to return our calls or call Medicare directly to the rep we gave them. The doctor's office rep was highly incompetent and even told us to deal with Medicare and get the situation fixed, but that is the doctors responsibility to deal with Medicare billing issues, not the patient's responsibility...then they turn our account over to a collection agency. The Medicare statement says they cannot bill us any amount (zero dollars) for the declined services and a Medicare rep advised us that if they do, they are committing an "assignment violation" of their Medicare agreement and could lose Medicare privileges. So their next brilliant move was to send the bill to a collection agency that Medicare said the provider CANNOT bill us for. We are filing a complaint with Medicare against this doctor and his company, Brockton Endoscopy Surgery of Riverside, Ca. We have never been treated so poorly by a doctor's staff who routinely proved themselves extremely incompetent in our case.
Dr. Huang is the BEST GASTROENTEROLOGIST.
I have recently been thinking about Dr Huang who took care of me in the 70’s 80’s 90’s. He diagnosed me with ulcerative colitis when I was 25 or so. He put me on just the right medications. I went in and out of remission for a long time, but always, under his care, I had minimal symptoms. Now that I am 67 my symptoms are completely dormant. Dr Huang is kind, intelligent, and an excellent dr. All one needs to do is listen to him and follow his advice
Excellent no nonsense doctor, highly recommend.
Good Dr but not finding results yet..
I have seen Dr. Huang and can attest to his surgical talents. He was recommended to me by another specialty Md with the recommendation that he was highly qualified and "gentle"....yes, I did great after the procedure.
Dr. & his nurses are very rude. They do not care how exposed you are & do not help in covering you up. They do not care about how much pain you are going thru. They do the procedures without any sedation & put you thru all the shame & pain! I still have not heard the results. He left me with a lot of pain. I have never been treated like this before in my life. Beware :(
I recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Huang. He found a polyp and removed it. I called two weeks later to find out if the results were cancerous. My mother died from colon cancer at the age of 62. They did not know the results. I believe his office should have checked with the pathologist to learn the results of the biopsy and inform me of the findings. This is a major error in my opinion.
Worst experiences ever. Went in for a scheduled colonoscopy at 10 am. Went back to the pre-op room 45 minutes later. Nurse did the usual prep things, i.e., attach IV and tabs for EKG. At 11:45, I asked for the nurse. Told her I was done and that I wanted to leave. I complained that nobody had come to speak to me about the delay. The head nurse was brought in. I told her I wanted to leave. At nearly 12 noon, the doctor came in to apologize but did any type of explanation. Worst experience ever!
Here's the thing - my appointment was for a colonoscopy. The last thing that you want to do for a patient, keep them waiting once they arrive at the office. Have been stuck to the day before not to eat lunch or dinner yesterday. Has to fast not eat breakfast all the way up until the time of the appointment at 10 AM. The night before I took a solution then cleansed out my bowels. Took another dose of the solution this morning much further down, purge my bowels. So, Wherever the doctors office, gl

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
