Horrible place if I didnt have to I wouldnt come here for an ultrasound. They send you home with a really bad picture of your baby and if you ask for a better view or to even have a nice ultrasound viewing of your little baby they say no sorry thats all they can do. The lady today told me when I asked if I could have a better picture of babies face she said no sorry I just have to send you home with something. She had no care that I was coming in to see this baby I have been caring, she just took measurements and sent me on my way. Didnt even say oh heres the babys face or here is the foot just measured and told me to lay on my side not even facing the screen so I could look. Its devastating seeing as I have only had 3 total ultrasounds this pregnancy and this was my last one till I deliver next month and they were all rushed and had horrible experiences.
I was referred here from Kaiser to check my sons kidneys. Kaiser doctors had repeatedly told me it was a minor issue. During my scan at Dr. Brars office, he was rude and carried on a full phone conversation during my ultrasound. He then repeatedly pushed an amniocentesis, insisting that my baby might have Downs (despite me telling him all previous scans were negative for that). He said there could be something wrong with my baby and I would feel more reassured knowing my options, which felt like he was pushing an abortion, which Id indicated was not an option for me on my intake form. When I repeatedly refused the amniocentesis, he became angry, said I had to sign a waiver, and walked out, saying good luck then, sweetie. Incredibly disrespectful and frightening for a doctor to treat a patient this way.
I wish I havent read all the reviews beforehand on this place. As a result of reading the reviews, I went in there thinking it was going to be a horrible experience so I geared up expecting the worst BUT it wasnt bad. Contrary to what majority of the reviews say this location was a pleasant visit for me. Everyone was friendly, super sweet, professional, and helpful. Most of the tension I observed was only in the waiting room in the patients. The staff and Dr. Brar were great. Dr. Brar is very efficient and good at what he does. The staff are proficient, caring, and professional. Loved that they gave me pictures post u/s. The wait wasnt bad and the place was clean. Go into this place with a open mind. Sending positive vibes your way!
I wish I could say nice things about this place, but sadly both times I came in, Ive been met with the most incompetent and rude receptionists ever. Appointment #1 (Oct. 9, 10:45am): After sitting an hour in the waiting room, I was greeted by receptionist, Christine. Everything was alright, but when she looked at my insurance info, she said I didnt have MediCal coverage (not true) and my OBGYN failed to properly send a reference of insurance. 1. I dont understand where she got that IEHP cancels MediCal coverage. 2. I dont understand why she had to be so rude and not want to work with me when I was trying to understand and fix it. I was treated as if it was my fault for not knowing.Luckily, I was able to get this sorted out by another staff member and was taken care of.Appointment #2 (Oct. 30, 10:45am): I gave them a second chance thinking maybe the first time was just bad luck. Again, I had to sit another hour in the waiting room... ok. Im ok with waiting, but to wait over an hour when I had an appointment in place just confused me. I went to ask the receptionist (it was a different receptionist this time) when I could expect to be called since Ive been waiting an hour. Her response:She gets up and walks away pretending while Im talking as if shes busy, so I waited at the window. When she came back, she tells me with an annoyed tone, Everyone just decided to come today ok theres two patients ahead of you. You can talk to your obgyn to go somewhere else. Im sorry, but last I recall its the responsibility of the staff to not overbook appointments... I couldnt believe her lack of professionalism.
I dont mind waiting for my appointment, as that is the norm with most doctors offices in Southern California. What I DO mind is when a doctor writes a prescription and then ignores requests or refuses to complete a prior authorization that is required by insurance. Absolute worst experience Ive had and Id rather see any other specialty OB in California than have to deal with a doctor who questions why Im there (Im not a doctor; I was referred. Why else would I be there?) and whose staff is dismissive, snide, and unhelpful when I call the office to ask for help filling the prescription that Dr. Brar wrote for me.
Contrary to most reviews Ive seen here Ive never had much of a problem with Dr. Brars office. The wait is just like any other doctor Ive been to but reasonable. The staff is friendly and just doing their job. However Ive only seen Dr. Brar once in my 3 months of going to the office for NST twice a week. I cant really review him but the staff has been amazing and Ive never had a problem with treatment.
Never fails. Appointments are always behind, expect to always wait 30 min1 hour past your appointment. I dont know why they just dont set appointments correctly, why do you stack everyone together? Horrible time management, stupid
Second twin birth, so here we go again. I personally dont like to visit a drs office one a week, especially considering how difficult it can be finding a babysitter, but my OB insist a specialist keeps an eye on my twin pregnancy. Ive no complaints other than the long wait I tend to have everytime I visit Dr Brars office. If youre going in for an echo be sure to plan ahead. You will wait minimum two hours before a technician scans your babys heart. The weekly non stress tests are about twenty minutes, but the lobby wait is closer to half an hour and waiting to be seen by the ultrasound technician after the NST test is another twenty minutes. I suppose 1.5 hours away from my kids should serve as rest time, just a little difficult to relax while you hear every patient on the telephone because the receptionist likes to keep you all on speaker phone. After sitting in the waiting space for the last two pregnancies I feel confident I know where some of you ladies live, I know your exam results, phone numbers, and Ive heard all the excuses for missing an appt. When calling Dr Brars office, please do me a favor and ask the receptionist to take you off speaker phone.....Im trying to catch a few zzzs before Im strapped to those darn NST bands!
Sadly I need to come to this place 2x a week. The staff up front talks about patients and so do the ones in the back. Very unprofessional! Last time they were talking about me yet little did they know I was sitting right in front of their window. Some nurse in the back is always yelling and has such a stinky attitude. When I came for my babies checkup they told me that I will have a baby with disabilities but the way they say it is so awful no type of emotions or harsh feeling for you they dont care about their patients. Theyre so rude. I hate it here. I only come because I am forced by my doctor. They also put so much pressure on your belly during an ultrasound and you have no kind of privacy during one because they have like 3 unnecessary staff members in there just gossiping and talking to each other about unnecessary things. So annoying. Once again I hate it here. And if your insurance doesnt cover their services I say you go somewhere where your money will be worth because this is not the place trust me. Oh and their restrooms always smell like poop. Its gross!
Everyones experience is different but all I gotta say is have low expectations. Just dry from start to finish.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
